  • The South dominated the top 100 hip hop thumbs with artists like Rae Sremmurd, Future, Kevin Gates, Yo Gotti, Bryson Tiller, Travis Scott, Young Greatness, and Young Thug.
  • Toronto was repped by Tory Lanez, Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and The Weeknd.

  • Despite peaking at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in July, Rihanna’s sultry single “Needed Me” was consistently one of Pandora’s top spinning tracks throughout the year.
  • Justin Bieber’s Jack U collaboration “Where Are U Now” was #51 on 2015’s  list, but that was only the beginning for 2016’s comeback kid of the year, who appears on the list four times. You can hear them all on our Pop 2016 station.
  • The Weeknd and Bryson Tiller’s prominence, along with Jeremih’s, highlight a big year for R&B. If this is your jam, our Soul Trap station has all of the year’s best hits.
  • Desiigner’s breakout hit “Panda” was a staple on our Trap Rap station, one of Pandora’s most popular destinations for hip hop fans.
  • Lukas Graham’s “7 Years” is the highest-ranking song from a band on this year’s list.
  • Kevin Gates might not be a household name yet, but he sure is at Pandora- he’s currently the #3 most-listened artist station on Pandora.
  • There’s no denying that Thomas Rhett’s hit single “Die A Happy Man” was THE country song of the year. You can listen to all of the year’s top hits on our Country 2016 station.
  • “Sucker For Pain” by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons (Feat. Logic, Ty Dolla $ign & X Ambassadors) was the top-spinning song from a soundtrack this year.
