Pandora’s SXSW Discovery Den started off strong with an amazingly diverse lineup of performers, and perfect weather to boot! In the afternoon Chicago’s Louis the Child brought the low end with a trap-influenced DJ set, Gryffin showcased his new live setup complete with blazing guitar solos, and YACHT got the crowd moving—plus we had a great live interview with lead singer Claire Evans! MSTRKRFT finished off the afternoon with a pounding set of extra skronky techno. Mako launched the evening set with an eclectic and fast-paced DJ set, HÆLOS darkened the mood with their moody triphop, and Tiga spun a tech-influenced set that included tracks from his latest album.  Then it was time to bring the bass: Baauer previewed material from his upcoming debut album Aa (out Friday!) and then Adventure Club closed things out with a set of dubstep and future house. An epic day of music!

I'm the dance/electronic guy at Pandora. I'm a fan of everything from drum 'n' bass to Boards of Canada to deep house to Tame Impala. I also like old Honda motorcycles, various whiskeys, and real fake doors.

Hi. I'm a HUGE FAN over several years. Respect what you do. Who are the musicologist (s) for R&B and soul and hip-hop? It's like they "haunt" me with how well they know what I like...scarey. ;-)
