These days it seems like country music was made to celebrate those three months between spring and fall. You don’t have to look much further than our New Country station for the perfect soundtrack to lake days, beach vacations and long winding road trips. Here are a few of the songs that have made this summer great, and some brand new tunes we are cranking so we can avoid reality and pretend like this summer is going to last forever.

1. Eli Young Band – “Saltwater Gospel

Saltwater-Gospel-Cover-ArtIn this follow up to 2015’s “Turn It On” EP, Eli Young Band brings us to their church of choice, the beach. Honoring the wide expanse of water in front of you and the beauty of a breathtaking sunset – what’s more spiritual than that?
2. Maren Morris – “80s Mercedes

MM_HERO_RGBWe’ve been listening to Maren’s debut album “Hero” on repeat all summer, and this autobiographical ode to her vintage ride is a big reason why. Crank it up and go for one more drive.
3. Kelleigh Bannen – “Landlocked“

cover600x600You can almost feel the heat rising off of this new track from Kelleigh Bannen’s independent EP, Cheap Sunglasses. If you can’t get away and you need some relaxation inspiration for the backyard, join in on this celebration of summer in the flyover states, no waves required.

4. Dallas Davidson– “Laid Back (feat. Big Boi, Maggie Rose & Mannie Fresh)”

dallas-davidson-laid-back-feat-big-boi-maggie-rose-mannie-fresh-singleIn one of my favorite tracks out right now, hit songwriter Dallas Davidson joins forces with singer and producer Maggie Rose, rapper/producer Mannie Fresh and OutKast’s Big Boi. Rose’s vocals soar over a super catchy chorus in this chill, genre-bending anthem to lazy summer evenings that follow a hard day’s work.

5. Jason Aldean – “A Little More Summertime“

Jason-Aldean-A-Little-More-SummertimeRegret…if summer just would have lasted a little longer, maybe they would still be together. Aldean longs for just a few more days in this crooner from his upcoming release They Don’t Know, capturing the last moments of a season gone too soon. We hope this New Country station does the same for you.
