Well, somehow we managed to squeeze over 70 people into a space meant for 35. Thanks for being good sports everyone. Really great evening of food and music talk. Wonderful to see so many people show up, especially as the spot was a little out of the way. Walked away with some good insights from the evening (including the fact that I may have Journey in my genome…). Lots of discussion about celebrity playlists, artist-based stations, and improving the buying experience – too many songs/artists not available. Definitely something we’d like to figure out.

Also pleased to have picked up a good collection of local CDs from musicians in attendance. They’ve been handed to the music genome team.
If anyone has any pictures from the evening – I”d love to post em… send them over.
Tom, thanks for the post on The Practice Room, and to friends at the Digital Media Alliance. Love the online, indie network.
And Tim, thanks for this one too:
Coming back to Florida in a few months for the Winter Music Festival in Miami. Should be fun.
Cheers. Tim (Founder)

fort walton beach,fl. I recently discovered Pandora and am really enjoying it. I live on the island here while building a new condo on the mainland, This is a wonderful place to be with a large military population of young people, retires and everyday people,a place where Pandora could get a giant following if introduced properly.

I am in the Panhandle of FL (Panama City Beach) and would love to see a "round table" session happen for this part of FL listeners. There are a few places that support the local music arena and there is some great local places to eat as well. I just wanted to say thanks for such a great gift to the world, a.k.a. Pandora.

In Florida's Lake County (25 miles west of Orlando), try visiting the local bars with music in historic Eustis. On every "first Friday" of the month, they usually have 3 different local bands playing on the street and people walk the historic district and listen to different types of music. Tomorrow, Nov. 3d, it is Margaritaville night with a Jimmy Buffet tribute group plus others. If you come to this area, let me know and I can get more specifics.

I just started using your site yesterday and although I think it's wonderful. What I would like to have the ability to do is pick my station based on true music genre such as Gospel, Contemporary Gospel, Rock Gospel as so on. Your pick is by music or song and since the Gospel music I listen to is close to R&B I also get R&B music on my station, which is okay but I would like to be able to have the option if I wanted to listen to just that type of Gospel music, Gospel and R&B mixed or just R&B.

I'm having a Pandora / flash 9 player problem in both IE7 and Firefox I'm running under win xp sp2 fully patched. I have an intel pentium on an asus board, with an ATI AIW 9600 graphics card Pandora works great when I downgrade to flash 7; but with flash 9 I get an error message telling me that I have to go to the settings and enable local storage. In fact, however, flash local storage IS enabled. At the 1MB level.

I love this concept.. it lets me hear so many artists I wouldn't otherwise listen to, be exposed to. just love it. I work to music and I love all the new influences. I am a painter and music is an integral part of the creative experience. come to Melbourne, Fl. the coast is much more laid back than Orlando,

I know the meetup was a while back, but Orlando/Central Florida has some awesome music ;) You guys should check out Little Reggies, they do booking for local bands and such in and around Florida, really great, and have put together some great shows; with great bands and music.
