We’ve been hard at work on the new version of Pandora.com since my last update here — processing your feedback, fixing bugs and generally improving the entire experience.

We’d all like to give a big “thank you” to those of you who have experimented with the new site and taken time to share your thoughts with us. We’re dedicated to making the new site faster, easier, and more social than any version of Pandora that has come before and your feedback is helping to us turn that vision into reality.

Right now, every Pandora One subscriber has the option to use the redesigned web version of Pandora. All you need to do is visit us at http://www.pandora.com, login to your Pandora One account, and look for the invitation to use the new site across the top of the page. Don’t forget to send us your feedback to support@pandora.com. We’d love to hear what you think.

We’ll start rolling out the new site to our ad-supported listeners during the next few weeks. While we’re delighted with the look of the new site, we are even more excited about the new opportunities for listener interaction, music discovery, and easier navigation. As millions more listeners are poised to try out the new Pandora.com soon, we’re looking forward to hearing what you have to say and incorporating your feedback as well.

Thanks for listening,

Tom Conrad

I don't like how the station list is set up. On the old site, I could edit or view details about a station without playing it. Now, I can't. I don't want a change that removes functionality. Thanks

Doesn't Pandora get a percentage of what we buy from tracks bookmarked here? I have never bought a track straight after listening to it, but instead I bookmark them and buy a batch at a time via Amazon.com Without the bookmark feature, I won't be doing this and it's a pity because I've loved the way Pandora has helped me find new artists to listen to. The fact that you keep excusing omitting this feature from the new and "improved" Pandora is the antithesis of the site's constant touting of itself as user friendly. This is what people want--and need--and pay for!

Is there any way to disable "live" concert music in pandora. I love watching bands live but absolutely hate listening to it recorded. I recently added Zac Brown Band as a station and am getting all sorts of "live" play concert music. I'm afraid when I "thumbs down" a song cuz it's live, it will not play the good recorded version. There should be a "thumbs down" to all live music! Live music is only good "live"

Help please! For the past two days I have not been able to play the new Pandora One on my computer. I use Firefox and it has been updated. I have tried (repeatedly) clicking on the link to take me back to the old site, but it takes me to the new site instead - which will not load. I have been without music for two days - I'd really appreciate help in correcting this problem. Thanks

Pandora will start losing their PAYING customers if they don't listen to the feedback. 1. Continue to let us use the Old Site many of us prefer unless you fix the problems we have listed. Please add ability for preferred log-in to New or Old site. 2. We PAID Pandora One subscription for unlimited play and NO Adds! New site imposes adds in the larger window, many of us prefer the smaller Old Site window & Mini-Player (seems obvious that the mini-player option is gone Because of forced advertisement). 3. Bookmarking capability for finding new artists and buying later is gone - Doesn't Pandora get a percentage of what we buy from bookmarked? 4. Moving songs to other stations does not function properly anymore once a song has played. This is how many of us build our stations! 5. New site requires log-in on start-up, Old Site allowed option for auto log-in when starting.

I run Pandora one on my old Ibook G4 Power pc (pre intel) with 1 gig of ram, Mac OS 10.5.8. I use Firefox 3.6.18 .I never had a problem with the streaming until I switched over to the new site. It looks good but the streaming would break every 3 seconds or so. So I switched back and it works perfectly again. Now I know I don't have the most current Mac Os and Firefox version but that is because I have Power Pc mac and those are the versions that work with the hardware. I think that I am not the only person who uses an old Mac as a dedicated jukebox/streamer and that is something to think about. I never use Pandora on my Macbook Air, only on the old Ibook hooked up to my stereo receiver. So please consider that when you are developing and making changes. I will take playability over over a slick UI or any processor hungry graphics. Its about the music.I otherwise love Pandora one. Thank you.

I think I'm done with Pandora. It no longer works on my main browser, seems glitchy on Firefox, and seems to have lost a lot of features (and UI coherence) in the translation. Doing away with flash doesn't really mean much for me, and I'd rather wait a few seconds for it to load if it worked, than have faster loading and an unintuitive, annoying UI with less features. I can't easily see what songs I've thumbs-upped, or thumbs-downed, in my recent history. The UI isn't as responsive (the sacrifice of 'doing away with flash'). The layout is all over the place, where it used to be easier to understand (the song's info was all right there, with its album art) and more 'together.' The colors are also offensive, now, and more straining on the eyes, making it that much slower to navigate. Not to mention the recent trend of video ads, with sound, constantly trying to play over the music. I used to pay you guys, and making me hate your ads isn't going to make me buy your more expensive service--I'd be wasting money on all the parts of that service I can't use, because I really do just want to listen to it in my browser. And really, your ads aren't getting much positive attention from me when they're just annoying, and I'm not likely to switch to a brand of oil because their obnoxious ad played OVER my music. Not to mention, while listening lately, my computer has bluescreened and crashed fairly often. When not listening to Pandora, but using other (often graphically or sound intensive) programs (games, photoshop, iTunes), it runs just fine with no problems. Really, you've just lost me as a customer. I'm going to just start buying music on iTunes again, or finding another service. Maybe if you offered a cheaper paid service where I could just listen on a desktop player without all the other expensive bells and whistles, and not lag my browser or annoy me with ads, I'd be interested again.

Well, the "Old Site" link seems to be gone as of this morning. That really is too bad, as this new version seems to be more resource intensive than the old site. Especially when loading the next song or switching stations. The apparently common display errors that make the new UI take up two web pages are very annoying compared to the compact old UI. This seems to be linked to the constant display of the Similar Artists, Bio, and Lyrics fields. Even without the display errors, the new UI takes up more than one page, which is annoying all by itself. I shouldn't have to change how all other sites are displayed to accommodate this one website. I do hate Flash, and every other piece of Adobe's bloatware, but in my opinion this is not a net improvement.

Hi everybody, Because of the large number of comments I wanted to re-post the following information down here (in case you missed it further up): -- You can scroll back to rate previously played songs by rolling your mouse over the album art, then clicking on the arrow that appears on the left side. -- While it's true that it's not possible to Bookmark songs or artists on the new site, you can have similar functionality by using Likes. You can Like songs, artists or albums, which will appear along with your previously Bookmarked songs under My Profile. To those who've pointed out the differences between Bookmarks and Likes, thanks for the feedback and we'll definitely keep it in mind as we continue to work on the new Pandora. -- You can resize the album artwork by clicking and dragging the two little dotted lines right below the album art area. If you're having any technical problems, or if you simply want to share your detailed feedback on the new site with us, visit http://help.pandora.com and click "email us" so we can help you out personally.
