Screen Shot 2012-12-10 at 1.01.16 PM.pngI would like to extend a warm welcome to all of Pandora’s listeners in Australia and New Zealand. For the first time since 2007, Pandora is available to folks living in Australia and New Zealand and it is a HUGE delight for all of us. In fact, this marks our first international expansion.

We have been extra thorough in curating some new genre stations for local artists from both countries. We know how much they mean to our listeners. Also, now that we are fully live, listeners in Australia and New Zealand can download our mobile app.

In keeping with our age old tradition at Pandora, I will be hosting Town Hall events in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney this week. I look forward to hearing directly from old, new and future listeners. You can go here to get more information about these events and follow our journey through Australia and New Zealand.

We’ve been dreaming of this day for a long time now, and can’t wait to start connecting music and listeners across continents halfway around the world.
We said we’d be back and now we are, so please be sure to spread the news!

I'm a person who used Pandora before it went offline in Australia and welcome you back. The biggest issue that has surprised me is the inability to download the mobile app for Android in Australia. Is it a licensing concern? Or is it on the way?

On Tuesday, 8th Jan 2008, I received an email from you saying Pandora would shut its doors outside of the US. Then, I sent a email asking for my account to remain "dormant" in the hope that one day I'd be able to use it again. Today, 1801 days later, Pandora once again streams from my speakers here in Melbourne. You didnt let me down. Thank you, and good luck.

I truly enjoy the listening opportunity that Pandora provides. I probably listen to Pandora a couple hours each day. One critique has to do with the classical stations I have programed. Vivaldi radio and Bach, for example. The music played on these stations that I have programed are exerpts. Pandora sets these pieces up so that each only plays a 3 to 3.5 minute exerpt of the composition. Usually not the entire msical piece. I would suggest that it might be appreciated if the entire length of the composition could be enjoyed by the listener.

I listen to Pandora all through the work week and at home while doing cleaning or just to's just that great! I just wish you all would make it a little more customized for people's taste as far as artist you want to listen to. I say that because when I select the thumbs down for an artist, another song of that same artist comes up...there should be an option to artist you want to listen to and artists you don't want to play at all; to be able to opt them out of your play list or station all together. Also since I pay for Pandora i should be able to skip as many songs as i want, I don't feel that it should be control especially since I'm paying for this service...I should be able to basically do as I please. Other then those two minor complaints I love Pandora!
