pebble_app_storeThe Pebble Smartwatch began its life with a simple question: what if a watch could pair with your phone and run apps right from your wrist?  We’re happy to announce that Pandora is now one of the apps that can be controlled from only an arm’s length away.  Starting today, you can download Pandora in the Pebble app store for iOS.  This is the first “wearable” technology device that Pandora is available on, so we’re excited to provide yet another way to take Pandora with you wherever you go.

Using the Pebble, you can view and change stations, thumb songs up and down, skip, play and pause tracks – all from your wrist!   If you already have a Pebble that is paired to your mobile device, you should get a notification that you can install Pandora, or you can start the install process at any time from the Pebble Settings Page.

The most exciting thing about the Pebble Smartwatch is that it will allow easier interaction with Pandora in cases where it hasn’t been as easy to provide feedback while listening.   Runners, for example, can now easily view and thumb or skip a song they are listening to on their watch without missing a step (pun intended).   Or, it has great uses in the home for those that are casting Pandora to audio devices or their TV – you could be in the kitchen cooking dinner while simultaneously thumbing up a song that was playing in your living room.

However you decide to use it, we hope that you enjoy Pandora on the Pebble!

P.S. We’re busy working away on an Android version of the app as well, so stay tuned!

Any possibility of giving an ETA of any sort on the Android version of Pandora? I love the service, I happily pay for Pandora One, and I'm really tired of not having the full functionality of the Pandora app from my Pebble. Really looking foward to the native app for the smartwatch!

How do I opt out of my membership. Hate it. Site is just up here to sell software not to promote artists and the sound is terrible. You all probably won't even publish this.

The newer pebble firmware now allows volume control from the music app on the pebble. Does Pandora have any plans to update their pebble app to take advantage of this new functionality? It could be accomplished by a "quick press" of the up and down buttons controlling volume, and a "long press" resulting in thumbs up or thumbs down. I really enjoy using the Pandora app on my pebble and ios device (especially the ability to switch Pandora stations), but have to constantly switch between it and the music app because only the latter allows for volume control. Thanks!
