It’s that time of year again—award show season. In anticipation of the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards®, we’ve made predictions across 10 of the nomination categories about who will steal the spotlight and drop the mic on February 15th. How did we come to these conclusions, you ask? We checked out the preferences of the most passionate music fans we know.

…our listeners!

By analyzing the way you interact with music on Pandora, we were able to determine the winners in terms of how often a track was played in relation to how often you gave it a thumbs up.

If Pandora listeners had their say, here’s the list of predicted winners:

Two artists will steal the show this year- breakout musician The Weeknd, who led the Top Thumb Hundred  list of most thumbed up songs of 2015, with Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Can’t Feel My Face,” and country crooner Chris Stapleton with Album of the Year for “Traveller” and Best Country Song for the album’s title track.  Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth will take home Song of the Year with “See You Again,” a tribute to the late Paul Walker off the Furious 7 soundtrack, and pop sensation Meghan Trainor, who made her major-label debut studio album in 2015,  takes the crown as Best New Artist.

Squad goals, indeed- Best Pop and Rap Collab will go to “Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar, and “Only” by Nicki Minaj featuring Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, respectively. No surprise here, Fetty Wap’s infectious “Trap Queen” will be hailed as the Best Rap Song, and newcomer trio Highly Suspect beats out the impressive competition for Best Rock Song with “Lydia,” the first single off of their debut album.

What do you think of how the predictions played out?

These predictions obviously will not be accurate, because the listeners on Pandora in no way reflect the tastes of those who actually vote in the academy. I say album of the year goes to Kendrick Lamar and "To Pimp A Butterfly." The rest if up in the air, but none of these are correct. And what is the point of this, anyway? I'm not going to listen to more music because of this, and there are no advertisements otherwise. My guess is Pandora was paid to make these predictions. And just because of it, I will stop using Pandora.
