I’m still planning my itinerary for Georgia. I know Athens is a can’t-miss and Atlanta is of course a music mecca. Please leave any comments or suggestions below.

Comments here are terrific. I grew up in Atlanta and was a Georgia State DJ. An eatery NOT to be missed EVER is Taco Mac. Est. around late 1970's in Little Five Points. There are two now (I believe), but the one in Little Five Points is the original. They serve buffalo wings with the original recipe (THE original - before anyone knew what buffalo wings were outside of Buffalo, NY) and more kinds of beer (about 250 last time I visited) than any eatery in the Southeast. Didn't read all the posts, or know whether you're done with Atlanta, but don't forget this place. Mellow Mushroom is an old time fav, btw. I lived right around the corner in Buckhead. O the memories! ;-)

You guys I love you radio station. I actually work at the radio station for the University of Georgia. Our philospohy at the radio station is to play music that is not mainstream to get the population interested in local artist or ones not mainstream. I actually get alot of my material from this radiostation to play on air. If you ever need to know about local artist in athens, Wuog athens at the University of Georgia is the place to go. Our number is 706-542-4567. I am sort of new to the scene because im just a sophmore from metro atlanta, but some of my favorite places in athens are transmed, 40 watt, and tasty world. Oh and check out some of the hip hop artist in athens like cat.

I just got the message that Pandora is coming to Atlanta. I would love to find someone coming from or through the Historic Roswell area that I can carpool with that night. Thanks in advance.
