OAKLAND, Calif., & Las Vegas, NV Jan. 4, 2011 – Today at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Pandora announced that Toyota will provide the popular personalized internet radio service in Toyota’s Entune⢠multimedia system.
Said Pandora Founder and Chief Strategy Officer Tim Westergren, “Toyota’s Entune definitely makes listening to personalized radio an easy and intuitive part of the in-car experience.”
Pandora internet radio will interface with the Toyota Entune technology, which is compatible with the majority of phones with a data plan, both smart and feature. The first Toyota vehicles featuring Pandora will be announced later this year.
Pandora is the leader in the internet radio space, with more than 75 million registered users who listen to the free, personalized radio service via their smart phones, computers, iPads,
Blu-ray players, TVs – all told, more than 200 internet-connected consumer-electronics devices.
