Welcome to Roadtrip Central! This is a continuing chronicle of my journey around the country, as I meet with Pandora listeners and musicians to learn about what you want to see happen with music in this digital age. I hope you enjoy reading about my past stops - from a three person meet-up in a Biloxi diner to a packed get-together in a huge MIT lecture hall.
I hope you'll take a minute to share your favorite bands, clubs, lodging and eateries in your city. If you don't see your state on the blog, just post to 'Other States' and I'll make a note to try and visit! I look forward to meeting and hearing from you!
Cheers...

Miami, FL Recap!
First chance to have a meeting with folks post royalty board ruling. Great to see how energized people are about this issue. Very heartening for us as we enter what is likely to be a long and difficult fight to reverse this ruling. It's clear that the grassroots support of listeners is going to be critical.
Thanks to Esther for being such a great Hostess at her stunning modern art museum. Every community needs one of those.

Hey Everybody,
Next month, I'll be coming to Miami to host a get-together with music lovers in the area. It'll be my chance to connect with Pandora listeners and get some feedback from you about the service, as well as hopefully answer some questions you may have about the Music Genome Project.
We're still in the planning stages for the meetup, and would love to get your suggestions of where to hold it. We're looking for comfortable, intimate spaces that can hold at least 100 people. If you have any thoughts, please post them below! You can also email us at tour@pandora.com if you have suggestions as well. No idea is too big or small!

Sardines in Orlando!
Well, somehow we managed to squeeze over 70 people into a space meant for 35. Thanks for being good sports everyone. Really great evening of food and music talk. Wonderful to see so many people show up, especially as the spot was a little out of the way. Walked away with some good insights from the evening (including the fact that I may have Journey in my genome...). Lots of discussion about celebrity playlists, artist-based stations, and improving the buying experience - too many songs/artists not available. Definitely something we'd like to figure out.
