50,000,000!
We celebrated a big milestone for the company last week. Sometime late Thursday evening our 50 millionth listener registered for Pandora!
Amazing to us how this has all happened by word of mouth.
The growth of mobile has clearly helped a ton. An ever-increasing number of folks are coming to Pandora for the first time on a smartphone or a blue-ray player, or a connected home audio device. Lots more evening and weekend usage. The vision for Pandora anytime, anywhere is really starting to take shape...
Thanks again for listening, and for spreading the word! Next stop 100,000,000!
Tim (Founder)

You should expand your mobile phone capatability department. Specifically the HTC HD2.
Posted by: bill at April 1, 2010 3:55 PM
Pandora is by far the best internet *radio* I have used, particularly with picking similar music based on selections. No wonder you hit 50M! We listen on evenings and weekends, and especially while I'm brewing up some beer.
Cheers!

Just got an iPod Touch. Am so excited to listen to be able to listen on the go now. I used to have Pandora status message Wednesday on FB. Really, love the site - can't be wrong at 50 million!

Hello, I have been subscribed to pandora one for almost a year now. Recently, I obtained an AT&T HTC Fuze, and I would love to be able to enjoy my personalized stations in my car too!
Keep up the good work!

You know you'd hit 100,000,000 a lot sooner if you started going international again.
Posted by: Cameron Williams at April 2, 2010 8:06 AM
Congratulations on 50 Million, If you're able to get past the international licensing issues I'm sure you'll be able to increase that by an order of magnitude.
Almost everyone I know who's tried Pandora.com loves it. Those who don't tend not to know how to use it or are too cheap to pay the subscription fee and don't like the free service limitations.

Congratulations, you have done an amazing job. Great vision, great products, excellent execution and a superb lobbying effort. The next 50 m should be much easier.

I got Pandora today on my Blueberry Storm: it is fantastic! Nothing like stereo music radio on the go, whereever one needs it or wants to listen.
I didn't even know it existed until my son told me about it. He has it in his Droid device.
Posted by: Conrad at April 5, 2010 12:44 AM
If mobile internet would be cheaper you would definitely hit the 100 million!
Posted by: The P at April 5, 2010 4:09 AM
Well let me just say i had another internet music app but it was nowhere near as good as this. I listen to it in the car, through my bluetooth. Im almost ready to give up my xm radio, they talk to much. Yours on the other hand is the perfect blend of whatever i want to listen to. Please keep up the good work i have told so many people about pandora.
Thanks again

A pleasant day to all... I am Ms. Poker, I am also a pandora subscriber... I am happy that me and my freiends will enjoy pandora sites and apllication on our phones... I am a kind of person who is willing to sacrifice almost everything for my love and my beliefs. Other than an enterpreneur I also dream of becoming a technologist, expert in computers and internet... To somehow fullfill my dream I find time discovering cool stuffs in the internet like calgary seo. Learning new ideas and dicovering something new is really fun. I also like to play poker, so everyday I really spend an hour or two playing Online Poker with my friends.

It's no surprise that 50 million was hit. I love Pandora. Where else can you go, type in a song you like and then let it play. I am perfecting numerous stations with the like and dislike buttons. I love it.
Best of luck on getting the next 50 million people. You can count on me to at least tell all my friends!

Couldn't remember your company's name, so googled many things with no luck, such as music for computer and music downloads.
Finally got a hit with music service and recognized the name. Expand your search words so we can find you better!!
Also, could you please include talk radio? I don't get reception in the mountains.

I heard positive reviews about Pandora from my brother, and decided to look into your service.
It's rare to see that check box next to "Auto renewal", letting me decide whether or not to make later charges automatic.
It's nice to see a company that values the customers' preferences like this, and that's what made me sign up.
Thanks!

Congratulations. I'm not surprised by your success. I've recommended your service to dozens of folks and I have yet to hear from anybody who is not profoundly grateful!

Good afternoon,
I love Pandora and I am even will to pay for the subscription. However, right now I only listen to Pandora at work. I would like to take it with me on my phone, but Pandora does not yet support symbian OS phones. I would like to know if this is in the future plans for Pandora. I sure do hope so...it would be so awesome. Currently I have a Nokia 5800 express music phone. Please consider this. Thank you!
I Love You Pandora!

I don't know how to contact Pandora directly, so I'm putting my comments here. I have listened to 2 songs by Frank Sinatra "Old Devil Moon" and "Time After Time", but the biography info and picture is of Quincy Jones.
Just thought you would like to know. I have seen other Frank Sinatra songs that are correct.

I love Pandora, so this is awesome, but honestly? It's no longer the revolutionary service that I remember. What happened to FREE ad-free radio? I can understand visual ads on the side, and always commented to myself how tasteful they were. Now, my stations are interrupted after only a few songs go by with the same two irritating voices. I can't find where to leave feedback with the company, so I'm writing my lonely little comment on this blog. This is just how sad I've become since not having my Pandora be what she used to be.

Expand mobile phone capabilities. Like Nokia 5800 xpressmusic.
This phone is for music lovers and is limited with Pandora sofware capability.

I was introduced to Pandora from a friend and installed app, decided to check out web-based platform and looks great so far as new user. I even found specific obscure mixes that stations seem quite similar to the original search. Thanks!

I really wish you would concentrate more effort in the Windows Mobile area. I know the I-phone is more popular, but there are A LOT of win-mo phones out there.

I really love Pandora, and I have been listening for nearly two years now. I even took out a yearly subscription. I got on Pandora to discover new music faster that standard FM radio, and I certainly do. However I think Pandora stills plays too much music that in not closely related enough to the stations I create. Therefore six title skips per hour is not enough for me. I would like to see Pandora institute an unlimited skip feature sometime in the future.

Just loaded the free one on my my touch a couple days ago, cause I got a new wireless stereo headset. This IS the greatest thing since sliced bread! I am leaving this comment then going to the market to purchase the upgraded virsion. No doubt you will make 100m easily no need to go overseas even, although that would make Pandora even better! Please keep up the good work!
A new & wowed customer.
Steve.

I'm a new user of Pandora; it was recommended to me by my piano instructor. I'm impressed by how simple yet innovative the idea is: a free and legal way to sample new music and listen to great songs--full-length! At first I was disappointed by users' inability to simply search and play a song, but then I realized that would rather negate the gratuity and legality of the service--it is, after all, a radio station. Besides, the uncertainty and surprise makes it all the more fun.
Thank you for providing such a wonderful service!

LOVE Pandora.com and listen to it ALL the time on the home computers (canceled my XMradio svc) but sadly can't get Pandora on my Windows mobile phone (Sprint TouchPro2) only older Windows based phones have the compatibility. Since I have Sprint and they don't have iPhones (yet), I can't use my iPhone except in a wireless area. So, please can you work on the getting service to the non-iPhones. Thanks and keep up the great music selections!

I think Pandora would make so much more listeners if they sold a radio that was a made for a car. I'm so tired of listening to music on the radio that is just bad music but if they made this then we would have our own style of music playing in the car. I'm not sure if they have this or not but if they don't I think this would be a great idea.
Just throwing my idea out there,

Just wanted to know why if I pick The Doobie Brothers Station I am getting Motown Music in the selections. This does not make sense to me. Is there a way to keep different types of music separate?
