Pandora Launches Children's Music

andylandWe're thrilled to announce that Pandora now has music for the whole family.

Our first video guest is Andy Z. His fanciful cartoons about multi-culturalism, language, animals and peace are a great start into our catalog of tunes that your kids will love. He performed these songs live in the former Pandora HQ on 22nd Street. From each video page, the right-hand paragraph includes a link to an Andy Z station based on that song.

"Sticky Bubble Gum"

"The Pirate Song"

"Scarecrow"

"I Went To A Party With Dinosaurs"

This is great.

I have been working on a station just for my kids and have been cherry-picking tunes for them from Disney and or (family) attributed artists. Of course there are artists wedged in there like the Jonas Bros, Miley/Hannah, M Jackson, J Johnson, TMBG and more but this is great that you have started this focus.

One question about (Children's) [and also (christimas) and (Family)]:

I've been looking into the albums and artists that have Children's (happens on christimas also) on their name, and they only have others artists that have (Children's) in their name as their recommendations.
A question: why this happens. Its pandora that choose that only christmas artists will be related with other christimas artists, no matter if there are more similar artists that there are not (christimas) artists??

If. Yes. Why not get this songs, and then tag (the guys that work at pandora would tag, not the users) the songs (not in the genome) with, christimas, childrens and family, and then show a option, that users would be able to turn on and off, childrens, christmas and family?

So, glad to see that our kids can now get in the "Pandora" swing of things.
