Peter Himmelman :: Concert Videos :: Vol. 36
Minnesota-based songwriter Peter Himmelman has had an intriguing and varied career. He started out in MPLS working with R&B crooner Alexander O'Neal, and over time brought his own dusky baritone to work in support of his soulful and thoroughly American songwriting. He writes and produces original albums of children's music as well. What we didn't realize is what a crack-up Himmelman is, as you'll see in these interviews.

Is there a way to utilize Pandora via car radio?
I like the way Pandora groups artists, etc.

If you want news watch tv or listen to XM.

how cum i cant skip songs if i don't like them
Posted by: sophia esposito at August 23, 2009 04:36 PM
If Pandora were to be utilized via satellite radio it would beat XM & Sirius satellite radio. I would definetly support Pandora Satellite Radio. I like the way Pandora plays the music you like by entering an artists name, etc. As well as keeping their word to dedicating to the listeners music of their choice without any commercials, interruptions, & DJ's talking about what they did & so fourth. There public access radio stations for that.

@Sophia -- You can skip songs that you don't like, but you can only skip a certain number per hour. If you run out of skips, you can switch to another of your stations. You can make up to 99 stations on a single account.
@N4CER -- Thank you for saying that, but why does it need to be Satellite if you can access it over 3G/WiFi/Edge, etc.? We are working on getting Pandora built into cars' dashboards, but in the meantime, if you use Pandora on a mobile device, you can plug it into most car stereos, either via cassette adapter, via microtransmitter, or via an 1/8" auxiliary input from your mobile device's headphone output.

Hi, just started using and like the concept. Good to hear you are moving toward talk and news. Just so you know, it would be great to be able to get NPR shows. Since Pandora doesn't offer now, I assume it would be hard for you to measure the demand or popularity for these. So start a spreadsheet or something and put me down for "Car Talk," "Prairie Home Companion," and "All Things Considered."
So far, so good. Will be recommending friends to check out Pandora. BTW, found Pandora on my new Palm Pre in case you're wondering how I got interested.

Of course we don't have to listen to the "News" stations, I wouldn't, I have a TV for that. I don't listen to news or talk stations when running around in my car, got to many CD's to listen to, maybe some day I'll do the mobile thing with Pandora.
When Sirius picked up Fox Noise for their news output, it told me where they are politically, you should stay neutral (progressive?). Though I might be tempted if you were to broadcast (stream) MSNBC, but I really prefer to see their faces (the humor) when they deliver da news.
Finally, it seems some of the respondents are drop ins, not really familiar with what Pandora offers. As a subscriber, I don't get the ads, main reason for becoming a subscriber, and I don't get those silly "Are you still listening" messages. Skipping songs was the first thing I learned about Pandora. As @N4CER said, "why does it need to be Satellite ...", no reason I can think of, especially when I remember all the drop off when I was a Sirius listener, mostly my location on Earth, but no problems with Pandora.

I am an avid listener of Pandora. I absolutely love it. I would like to make a suggestion on how to better serve the fans. Most often I listen to Pandora on my computer while searching the web and/or checking email. When a song or artist comes on that I like but don't know I always have to stop what I am doing and click back on the Pandora tab to see who it is. My suggestion is is it possible to have the artist and song scroll across the top of the Pandora tab? So while I am using other internet tabs within the same window I could always see who is playing.

Good going Peter. Nice thing is that you also produces the children albums.
