Tim and staff...
I usually don't write about much of anything, but I felt compelled today...
I just read that there is an all or nothing situation regarding royalties. Folks, I hope that you can find a solution to this problem. I support your advertisers and will continue to do so.
I love Pandora...
Thanks, from a DAILY user...

P.S. This is what terrestrial radio SHOULD BE!

Hi Tim,
As I feel I was one of your fisrt listeners and fans ( even have a hat to prove it!) I am so impressed at how far you have come and how much my "stations" have improved. I mention Pandora to everyone.
Thank you for giving me a great outlet to my day and great entertainment.
All the best to you,
Donna

Hey tim and the pandora crew,
thanks for your work! i really appreciate yall utilizing the powers of the internet for good :)
I was in that pre-sleep state mulling over random crap and was thinking how great it would be if All my stations on pandora could merge together to create more diversity in my listening experience. That way, my senses wouldn't assimilate to a certain sound, and every song would be good, as opposed to every third song. Is there a way to do that, or is that something i can look forward to in the future?

I truly despise the new 'thumbs up' / 'thumbs down' buttons. Aesthetically, they're great. But as for usability, the user can no longer tell if they've previously given the song an Up or Down. The buttons are just always the same and always there.. so there's no feedback or ability to see if you've already rated the song that is playing.

I am thrilled with your "radio station" I recently moved from New York to Georgia and the radio has much to be desired here.I feel like I can get the mix of radio I was used to in New York.Thank you!

Ok this is pretty random, but the new system is mildly annoying because you can't tell when you give a thumbs up/down to a song. The only system you'd get a graphical change that told you it's status. Now I'm just clicking every song out of fear of a new song sneaking in an me not knowing if I approved it.
We need a throw back to the previous GUI in this regard (ie an indication if a song is +/-/neutral when it comes up).
I'm sure this is the wrong place to do this, but I'm a rebel... or I couldn't find the proper channels decided to dump it here.

Its wonderful to listen to your music. I am a widow and love the music of the 50's through the 70's. New singer Josh Grobain, Nana Mouskouri, Randy Travis, Vic Damone, Acker Bilk etc
Thank you again

I hope you folks get the royalties thing worked out. Your station is unique to say the least and has set the standard for all stations.
One thing. Your new format is somewhat disquieting. I no longer can add an artist to my favorite station under station options and when I select an artist, with thumbs up it no longer keeps a record of my selections.
Keep up the excellent work and music.
I've made sure my friends hear about Pandora.

I just read about your problems with the royalties and I would like to ask if there is anything your listeners can do - like writing to our Congressperson, etc.
I love your station; we listen to it almost every night - no other station has as good a selection as you do.
Sincerely,
Renate Beedon

I live in Canada, and I fell in love with Pandora long ago, and was heartbroken to hear about the licensing issues...
I was wondering though, if the issue is simply playing the music, could not Pandora still offer the service of finding similar music to that which we input? Simply give non-U.S. citizens band names and song titles until it is finally once again possible to allow them to play music as well?

I just wonder how sites like Pandora get their music? Of course the obvious pop music is not hard to aquire, but does it function like a radio station where people send things in or is it all done by users request?
Just curious!

I really don't write much'but I just had to sit down a couple of minutes to tell you how much I enjoy your"radio station".When I want to kick off my shoes, lay back and remember times gone by,I can always count on Pandora to take me to the secret place in my heart through its wonderful music. Please keep up the good work, and my God bless your efforts in keeping this going.

I just read the article about you guys possibly closing down. Please please please don't let this happen. I love Pandora, and I would be so sad if you closed down. I would happily accept more advertising if it meant I got to keep my Pandora station. I'm pretty sure the feeling would be the same for most of the rest of your listeners. If that's what it takes to keep Pandora around, I'm all for it.
Please don't go away.

Hi Tim, Wish I was down there to head to the event. We met way, way back at a Digital Hollywood at Loew's. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Pandora keeps trucking along - it's my favorite site. I moved to the states for a while from Canada and am so glad to be able to use it again.

@ Sadie - Thanks so much for the lovely comment! It's wonderful to hear that you're reminiscing with Pandora.
--------------------------------------
@ Jesso - Thanks so much for your support. Don't worry, we would never go down without a fight! We'll keep you informed if there's anything you can do to help, but for now we continue in negotiations with SoundExchange.

@ Sean - Glad you're back to listening to Pandora, and yes, we hope to keep truckin'. :)

Thanks for finally fixing the double menu problem! Maybe you fixed something since those before me posted but I can tell if I've thumbed up or down a song.
Thanks again!

Thanks to Tim for an awesome meetup last night! It was really fun hearing more about how Pandora got started and what might be coming down the pipeline. I hope the issues with SoundExchange get worked out to everyone's benefit.

I'm not much into "new" music. I am pretty set in my ways, with my first band to love being the 1964 Beatles.... and then my first Hard Rock band to love, being the 1969 Led Zeppelin.... Incredible Standards of Pop and Rock rarely eclipsed....Not just anything will do... I'd like to see more live material here. For instance, Zeppelin's live version of "THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME" from the Sountrack CD is so much more exciting to me, personally... than the HOUSES OF THE HOLY studio version.....same with "NO QUARTER" and "OVER THE HILLS AND FAR AWAY".

So sad that I missed it, had a family emergency. Hopefully I can make the next one. Glad to see all the issues with congress have resolved. Thanks for everything

I just found out about your station this week and it is totally awesome!!
One, on the radio stations, can you type in an artist and see the lists of songs to choose from? I also like the ones you think I'd like as well.
Two. TX suggestions--I'm sure you've heard of Maroon 5=Dallas band, right? There are some others.
Three. since I missed 9/4-- I would like to see y'all the next time you're in town--do you know when that'll be?? I will be there!! Please keep me updated!!
Your fan!!
