Bourbon and Bluegrass at the Southgate House

Southgate HouseAmerican history is festooned with tales of haunted buildings, from the Amityville home to the House of the Rising Sun. At places like these, ghosts stalk the halls, mysterious sounds emanate from the floorboards, and lights turn on and off without provocation. Kentucky's Southgate House is one of these spirit-inhabited buildings, but this 19th century mansion is different in one key way: they have three performance rooms, and live music every night of the week.

In part one, we hear the legends of bourbon and bluegrass surrounding the mansion, from its famous guests (Abraham Lincoln) to the luminaries who were born within its walls (the inventor of the Tommy Gun). Part two gets into the ghost stories and the other types of music that fill its parlor rooms, from funk and rock to avant-garde music.

Is Pandora even thinking about developing a version that will run on a Sony PSP? I have one of these devices, and Sony later this year will be releasing a GPS device to try and make it the primo device for kids. This is an untapped market.

Hi, Jon,
Alas, I wish I could be there too. I'm sure Tim's going to have a great time, though.

Hi, Taina,
I sent your message to support@pandora.com, and they will be contacting you. Are you just losing signal? It sounds like this may be a connectivity issue... anyhow, one of the great support folks from Pandora will be in touch with you soon.

Enjoyed listening to you talk about the startup. Thanks for pointing out the Quick Mix option. It is really a great mix.

Thanks, guys! We're thrilled to hear it.

Mike, have you checked out any of our shows about classical music? Here's one about Strings:

Please - At one time I created a station that had nothing but Christmas songs on it.
Those songs were requested mainly for the holiday season, but I had them mixed in my regular stations.
Since then I have deleted the Christmas station but still have Christmas songs appearing in June or July.
Is there a way to flag these songs so they only play during the holiday season?
Is there a way that i can get holiday music only during the holidays seasons?
Thanks Bear

Thanks for your comment, Bear.

I'm happy to tell you that this is a relatively easy problem to fix. :)

Sounds like you've got some holiday inputs on your regular station. So now Pandora thinks you'd like some holiday music interspersed with your other stuff.

To get the holiday music *off* the station, just delete any holiday music inputs you've entered. (Click on the arrow next to the station, select 'edit this station,' and remove things at will!)

** You'll want to delete every song or artist that has the (Holiday) notation. **

After that, you should be holiday-free!

If you have any questions, let me know.

Cheers, Lucia from Pandora
