Pandora in Las Vegas
Hey there... are you in Las Vegas this week? Several of us are in town for CES, and would love to meet you in person.
Monday through Wednesday (7 Jan through 9 Jan), we will be in the CES Concierge Tent, and the Pandora crew has put together a few fun shows for you.
Noon: MUSICMANIA
A live music trivia game show, with gallons of prizes, both for the contestants and for the people sitting in the audience.
3pm: THE GENOME TOUR
We show how Pandora's musicologists look at a new song. It's a step-by-step simulation of the way we bring a new song to your stations. For this 3pm show, there... will... be... beer. Laws prohibit us from saying how much this beer costs (if that tells you anything).
Come on down and say hello, eh?

Pictured above is the fantastic John Lennon Educational Tour Bus, a wonderful non-profit organization which I'll write more about later. It's a truly inspiring project designed to bring recording and musicmaking technology into the hands and minds of young students. Pictured L-R here are Will.I.Am, Yoko Ono, Natasha Bedingfield, and Pat Monahan.
Peace,
Kevin
p.s.: a less pixelated version of the above photograph coming soon

Its a very nice set up and easy to use. One thing though. I would like to see it possiable to go to a previous song and play it again

A nice addition would be introductions of the songs in genera by a popular or famous radio announcer, ala KRLI radio in Missouri.

I've been looking for the Radiators, sometimes called The Radiators from Space, an Irish/English band dating from the mid '70s until now. Two of the most famous members are Philip Chevron, aslo of the Pogues, and Pete Holidai, long-time guitarist and teacher, and prolific song writer. They are very talented. I hope you'll include them soon. Their CDs are TV TUBE HEART, GHOSTOWN considered a classic), and TROUBLE PILGRIM (recently reissued). Fantastic musicians, amazing lyrics.

I love pandora and think it's great that it is going to be supported on mobile phones. I was surprized to see that it is not compatible with Verizon. Verizon seems to be one of the leaders in data and V-Cast service so I would think it would work. Is there any way to make the service work with a verizon phone currently, and if not, will there be? Also, is there a way to get Pandora on a windows mobile phone equipped with mobile internet explorer and high speed data? If not, this might be a good way to enable people who do not use AT&T or sprint to use pandora. Great service, I love it and am looking forward to continuing to use it as it expands to more platforms.
Also, I noticed that Rhapsody is now available on Tivo. Any plans to enable Pandora on Tivo?
