Conversation about music...

One of our advertisers, Energizer has created a discussion board for Pandora listeners. There are a handful of music topics if you're interested in joining an online conversation, including the 'gig guide' for folks to talk about shows. Turns out people like talking about music!

We will all miss Oscar's music lucky for us we have the recordings.
He will always remain one in a million.
I still can't figure out how anyone can play so fast.

discussion board is cool idea, but posts need to be posted in reverse order. right now, the most recent posts are at the bottom so you have to scroll down every time you access the page.

loved oscars stuff with chet baker, stan getz, and ray brown. it was the legands of jazz that got into listening to music for the love and not the glam. but a guy that was a main part of what shaped my bass playing was joe zawinul of weather report. thanks joe for sharing your God givin talent with us, it has been fun.

I have a Frank Sinatra Genre, but I notice that you continually play the same songs by different performers. Is there a way to put more variety into the play list?
Thanx

To read about the powers of music that reside in the human brain, check out Oliver Sacks 2007 contribution: Musicophilia, Tales of Music and the Brain. Fascinating reading, and Pandora in the background won't distract you from the text.

I rotate between the Avant-Garde, John Coltrane, and Greg Osby stations. They are all wonderful. I have become quite fond of several artists who I had heard of but was not familiar with their music. Fred Anderson, Tim Berne, Fred Hersh, and Brad Melhdau are just a few. My appreciation for Don Cherry has grown immensely. I plan to upgrade my library with their music asap. Thanks and keep up the good work.
