Pandora Podcast #16: Hip Hop Rhyme Schemes

So okay, okay, we DO go into the math of it a bit -- "it" being Hip Hop -- in this latest episode. Rapper/drummer/analyst Darian Gray joins me in the studio to show how rappers' rhyme schemes have evolved over time. Calling on all styles from the slower, two-measure hitter rhymes of the old school classics to the complex, intertwining poetics of contemporary lyrical acrobats like Ludacris, Aceyalone and Eminem, we look at beat patterns, stressed syllables, near rhymes and more.
