Nice job Tim. I think you attracted a fairly good size crowd tonight. The whole Pandora Classical thing has got me excited. It was a honor to be among other Pandora listeners

Hello:
I have been an obsessive record collector/music listener for years and actually worked at the famed Music Millennium for 4 years. In addition, I run an eclectic music blog called Eclectic Grooves- http://eclectic-grooves.blogspot.com which features sample songs and out-of-print rarities. I will be at the forum tonight at Disjecta, but I wanted to let you know of some really exciting local acts to feature on Pandora. Most of them released records on small independent labels, but some of them don't even have a record out yet. Also, keep an eye out for these artists on my blog, and let me know what you think of my blog.
Cicada Omega- gospel-inflected junkyard blues from these Kentucky boys who know how to get the crowd movin'. Groovy, fun and musically adventurous.

Alela Diane- beautiful introspective folk from this songbird with a majestic voice-

Baptist Arms- amazing duo that concocts a haunted americana sound that mixes jazz, country and barroom blues. Haunting and mesmerizing harmonies.
they don't currently have a record out, but they have a bunch of songs that they play live including some covers.

Baptist Arms plays at Mississipi studios in Portland tonight at 9:00
Evolutionary Jass Band- spiriutal ethno free jazz from the amazing visonary mind of Jeffrey Leighton Brown. Recalls the best moments of John Coltrane and Pharaoh Sanders

Jeffrey Leighton Brown- Jef from Evolutionary Jass Band's solo CD entitled "Change Has Got to Come" is one of the best albums of the year easily. It was released on the independent label Community Library and is a constant reminder to me that new music can still be creative and inspiring.

Vagabond Opera- Tango balkan gypsy klezmer folk troubadours who have one of the most entertaining live shows around

Tim thanks so very much for coming to visit us in Seattle. I've called my senators pretty much every day. For me, there's only a small difference between breathing oxygen and listening to music. Pandora breathes so much happiness into my life.
Proudly wearing my hat!

hello jim ! thankyou for keeping pandora free. in a region where i have a hard time receiving good radio stations with good music, pandora was a treasure in a cyberspace treasure chest with music I have not heard for years , and some newly discoverd. My boyfriend was also very impressed when I typed in some of his favorites, and we just listened for hours. I really like this place, pandora. Makes paying the high price for internet worth pandora alone. Next time you'r in the olympia washington area, be sure to look me up! sincerly, redbird walker olympia wa.
