San-Diego Meetup

Update: We've now have a place and time for our get-together coming up in San Diego, which will be in the Peacock Alley at the Arts & Entertainment Center on University Ave. Full details of the event are below. You can RSVP by emailing tour@pandora.com with "San Diego" in the subject line. Hope to see you there!

Where: Arts & Entertainment Center, Peacock Alley
3026 University Ave, San Diego, CA
(map & public transportation)
When: Wednesday, March 28th, 2007 @ 7 PM

Hey Everybody,

At the end of March, I'll be making a roadtrip stop in San Diego to host a get-together with music lovers in the area. This will be my chance to connect with Pandora listeners and get some feedback from you about the service, as well as hopefully answer some questions you may have about the Music Genome Project.

We're still in the planning stages for the meetup, and would love to get your suggestions of where to hold it. We're looking for comfortable, intimate spaces that can hold at least 100 people. If you have any thoughts, please post them below! You can also email us at tour@pandora.com if you have suggestions as well. No idea is too big or small!

Yay! I'm so glad you are coming! Ok, I'm going to point you to a few of the great people here.

Places to eat: The Big Kitchen.
http://www.bigkitchencafe.com/restaurant.htm
This is the home of Judy the Beauty
http://www.sdjewishjournal.com/stories/apr04_4.html
and is one of those local, get-to-know-people places that helps make this place a community. Oh yeah, and the food is really good!

There's also a great little resteraunt in PB that is cheap and has (whisper: great Ocean front seating. It's amazing! Shhh...)But I can't think of the name of it right now. Ha! My secret is safe.

The owners of Hot Monkey Love (a really nice family) could give you great ideas about local music and music venues: http://www.hotmonkeylovecafe.com/

as could Listen Local, the organizers of acoustic alliance and "The Game."

Claire de Lune is a good coffee shop.

Hi Tim,

Be interested in attending the event. Please keep me in the loop.

Would be interested in finding out about music club/societies in SD where people share music-- like a book club- but for music-- anyone out there ???

Thanks,

Bruce

I'll be there if work allows. Being Military means thats a mabey at best, but I would definatly like to attend, expecially to cover subjects to cover further expansion further over seas. (Check out some Rip Slyme, Globe and Flow ). E-mail me details, I return from Leave the 26 (just in time) so I represent !2! cities (San Diego and Bakersfield, which is out of the tour loop). Thnx :)
