Hey, I got the new ad that opens before the music starts. I like it fine. It gives the message without harming the listening experience. Good thinking, A+.

Thanks for stopping through NYC on your tour. It was great to hear more about Pandora's history and how your team actually makes Pandora happen.
I'll make sure I make all my Amazon purchases through Pandora, especially big ticket items like huge flat screen TVs.
Looking forward to the Thumbs Up enhancement that allows users to explain their decision.
Best of luck.

It was nice to meet you, Tim. Now that I know that the nearest neighbor is applied to a 400 dimensional vector space where each vector is a "song" I'm going to try to get rid of my compulsion to search for an artist and start to search with song titles :)
Regarding the whole "how to tackle the subjectivity/trends/metadata/etc in music" I like your answer, that it is a fool's errand :) I really like Pandora because it helps me get away from all the music pushing, the mainstream, the "people who bought this also bought..." stuff. I also really appreciate having real trained music analysts who can help me find new music that I am not otherwise trained to find on my own.
How is Pandora's relationship with universities and colleges? I ask, because I know universities like Princeton try very hard to keep their students from illegal downloads and such. That is why they sign up for services like Ruckus. I think Pandora will appeal to these institutions for the same reason. When I talked to some undergrads in Princeton, none of them had heard of Pandora, which I think means there is a lot of room for improvement on the word-of-mouth department...
Thanks again for coming to Princeton! I can probably buy a flat TV, but a flat TV *and* a CD, I don't know, that's a bit too pricey!

Hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but I'll agree with Lyle that the new animated ad is much cooler than the audio ad.
I'm not anti- the occasional audio ad, but the McD's one was handled poorly.

Were can I find edited Hip Hop? And could you please tell me how I can listen to music and surf the web at the same time. It worked for me on other services.

Hey I am not trying to get off topic but let me know the next time you all are in the Atlanta area or somewhere a little further south in the state of GA. I would like to know about one of these meetings cause I have some awesome (somewhat) local music that should definitly be on here. I do not know all about the intracacies of a song but I know good stuff when I here it. To the guy above they have a add-on you may download to have it run on the bottom part of your window where it says done most times. You could also just open a new tab or window if you prefer.

Hey, how far south? I'm in Albany and didn't think there were many other users around these parts. (Despite my constant lauding of Pandora.)

Hello,
I wish you made your next meeting in Paris (France, not Texas)...People are nice and love your Pandora and Music Genome Project. I am a newcomer but a "musical born again" since I have met this place. The idea is so strong, so human, so beautiful...Tnaks MIlle fois in french and a thousand times...Marc
(Miles, James Taylor, Dire Straits...what a lovely moment during the day when I have to choose which station I will use...) !
Posted by: marc at February 15, 2007 05:45 AM
I would really like to listen to classical music. Are there any plans to add a classical station?
Posted by: Deb at February 15, 2007 05:40 PM
FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT I ENJOY AND APPRECIATE THIS FREE STATION. I ENJOY BEING IN CONTROL OF THE MUSIC I LISTEN TO. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE, IS THE FACT THAT I CAN'T SCROLL THROUGH THE MUSIC THE WAY I WOULD LIKE TO. IF I DECIDE I WANT TO MOVE ON TO ANOTHER SELECTION I AM LIMITED TO HOW MANY TIMES I CAN DO SO. OH WELL, I'M SURE THIS WILL NBE WORKED OUT EVENTUALLY. THANKS FOR LISTENING.

Hello Tim, I have found Pandora inspiring and a unique way to experience music flavors.
The next time your road trip tour comes through NJ I would suggest that you stop by Asbury Park.
There is a history of music that I believe you would appreciate. The city is going through a redevelopment phase in an attempt to recapture days gone by while leveraging the attributes offered by an ocean front shore community with close proximity to New York City and Philadelphia.
I recently had the opportunity to see Hall & Oates perform a holiday concert at the Paramount Theater on the Asbury Boardwalk. The venue has been reconditioned and is a welcome intimate alternative to the Arena Setting. I also understand that John Oates has recently purchased a Condo in town.
I hope you can experience Greetings from Asbury Park on your next cross country tour!

Hey!!!!
Hope Pandora stops in central New Jersey sometime, I would love to know when Tim will come around so I can let him know some of the sounds that can inspire others, like pandora has inspired me. Try some Salsa, like Eddie Palmeri, or Tito Puente for the Latin Listeners.
Love ya all.

First, I wanted to say that I love this site and it still amazes me how good a job you do in playing songs that fit the "station" that I have requested. It's just brilliant. I wonder if there are any others like myself who would be interested in purchasing a CD of some of the songs that were played during a particular session. Maybe one could choose a specific number of the session selections that would then be put on a CD in an agreed upon format at a given price. I would be willing to pay the market price for such a CD. I know that there are probably a slew of legal, copyright, pricing and other ramifications to putting together something like that - that's if you were even interested in doing it! I don't want to cause an uproar - I will be happy if things stay just like they are. Thanks again for the music.

@NJShabbro--The best thing to do is Bookmark the songs you hear and these will be available to purchase from Amazon or iTunes through direct links on your profile! All info on purchasing can be found here on our FAQ:
