Regarding the whole "how to tackle the subjectivity/trends/metadata/etc in music" I like your answer, that it is a fool's errand :) I really like Pandora because it helps me get away from all the music pushing, the mainstream, the "people who bought this also bought..." stuff. I also really appreciate having real trained music analysts who can help me find new music that I am not otherwise trained to find on my own.
How is Pandora's relationship with universities and colleges? I ask, because I know universities like Princeton try very hard to keep their students from illegal downloads and such. That is why they sign up for services like Ruckus. I think Pandora will appeal to these institutions for the same reason. When I talked to some undergrads in Princeton, none of them had heard of Pandora, which I think means there is a lot of room for improvement on the word-of-mouth department...
Thanks again for coming to Princeton! I can probably buy a flat TV, but a flat TV *and* a CD, I don't know, that's a bit too pricey!

I'm not anti- the occasional audio ad, but the McD's one was handled poorly.

I would like to know about one of these meetings cause I have some awesome (somewhat) local music that should definitly be on here. I do not know all about the intracacies of a song but I know good stuff when I here it. To the guy above they have a add-on you may download to have it run on the bottom part of your window where it says done most times. You could also just open a new tab or window if you prefer.

Hello Tim, I have found Pandora inspiring and a unique way to experience music flavors.

The next time your road trip tour comes through NJ I would suggest that you stop by Asbury Park.

There is a history of music that I believe you would appreciate. The city is going through a redevelopment phase in an attempt to recapture days gone by while leveraging the attributes offered by an ocean front shore community with close proximity to New York City and Philadelphia.

I recently had the opportunity to see Hall & Oates perform a holiday concert at the Paramount Theater on the Asbury Boardwalk. The venue has been reconditioned and is a welcome intimate alternative to the Arena Setting. I also understand that John Oates has recently purchased a Condo in town.

First, I wanted to say that I love this site and it still amazes me how good a job you do in playing songs that fit the "station" that I have requested. It's just brilliant. I wonder if there are any others like myself who would be interested in purchasing a CD of some of the songs that were played during a particular session. Maybe one could choose a specific number of the session selections that would then be put on a CD in an agreed upon format at a given price. I would be willing to pay the market price for such a CD. I know that there are probably a slew of legal, copyright, pricing and other ramifications to putting together something like that - that's if you were even interested in doing it! I don't want to cause an uproar - I will be happy if things stay just like they are. Thanks again for the music.

Hi Tim, I just am in awe about your station!!! When I first heard music come through my speakers, it sounded really awefull and that I had blown a few mid ranges the clipping was so so bad. I jumped up and started to unhook and change the wires Thinking I was in a mess with about ten speakers. I got to work on the problem as I was listening to YANNI on your station. Step at a time changing things around by the end of the song. I had pure seperation pure sound out of the speakers. I was feeling great that I could enjoy music at its best in 12.2 surround DTS DBTS SRS True THX DT. Tim thank you
