Tim,
I attended tonight and even chatted with you briefly in the lobby. It was very interesting and highly informative about how it all works and what's in store for the future.

Great to see you last night in the frigid New York evening and to hear all the exciting things going on with Pandora. Worth the wait and worth the cold. To me, Pandora is the best thing on the Net. See http://www.prblognews.com/

If you had explained to me what you had in mind in the beginning - musicians doing an analysis of every song you were going to add into Pandora's collection - I'd have told you you were crazy. A hell of a nice dream, but it couldn't fly. Too labor intensive, too many unknowns, and would your public really find you.
And then I found myself there - a fan who largely came because I felt sorry for you on such a damn cold night when probably only a handful of souls would show up. Upon entering, I found the theatre had screwed up and was going to delay things for a half hour or so before anything could start. Already two strikes, but not quite out. And what happened? As they say in showbusiness it was SRO.
Obviously your business is miracles and you seemed to have managed quite a few. Since I had got a tip from one of my clients - an executive at 20th Century Fox Films about Pandora - who wondered how close it might be to a music search engine I had developed some years ago dealing with musical prior art and major litigation cases, I tuned in and found we working very different sides of the street, in no way competitive to each other. Still in listening I became a fan and admired much of what you're doing.
My congratulations to you and your organization. I'll drop you an e-mail and follow-up on the conversation.
