Dear sirs:
I am new to Pandora. My problem with it is this: I cannot choose the music I wish to listen to. All I get is a radio station like Johnny Cash station, etc. Am I not understanding the system properly?

I LOVE PANDORA! You guys are the coolest web site I've foound on the internet in years. I currently am listening to a Reggae station I created. I also have a Rock station and a Jam Band station. It's wonderful at work and I'm opening up to more bands all the time. Keep up the great work!

can you see how unappealing this is to the rest of the world ?
Posted by: Jason at November 30, 2006 08:56 AM
Jason, No.
William,
Pandora does not let you listen to the exact song that you request, (not author). It introduces you to similar music by other artists.
Flora,
Your internet speed may not be fast enough to handle the music. Start a song, then pause for 1 minuet. Then play, do you get the stops as frequently?
If not, then your internet is not fast enough, otherwise, you have other problems.
-Chris

Tim,
Pandora is an exact fit for my musical tastes. I fell in love with Acid Jazz a few years ago. I didn't know the Artists or names of songs. I had a freind who was a DJ and worked at a record store. Once a quarter I would go in an he would point me in the right direction. We lost touch and I lost my connection. I recently discovered Pandora. What a great concept! I am spreading the word. Thanks for the great work.

Pandora is wonderful, you guys are somthing else. Thanks so much!

Hi, I feel that when I say No (Thumbs down) to a song it ends up being read as "I don't like the sound of it" when a lot of times it's that "I don't like the song itself (Lyrics w/ Melody pairing). So in essence I may really like the sound, but the song itself isn't that great. I'd love the option to choose thumbs down for the lyrical content, but thumbs up for the sound of the song.
if possible, of course :)

I'm sending a huge hug to the geniuses who thought this up and made it happen. Bless you all for adding something so amazing to my life. Right now I'm listening to my Donovan-Incredible String Band-It's a Beautiful Day radio station. What a gift. I've already made the perfect Christmas jazz station for our Christmas party. I love my Bob Dylan station, and my Afro-Cuban station. I love that if there is an artist I don't like (we're not naming names), I can just delete! I love that when a client comes to my office (I'm a graphic designer), I can instantly create a station for him or her, and as we sit and take care of their design business, they get their own music. When was the last time I had something of this quality enter my life? Everyone I tell about Pandora is completely jazzed. The only question I have now is...I really don't want to subscribe because I'm finding the advertising very useful. How else would I find out about the Slim Device, for instance? Do you have a preference -- would you rather we subscribe? Perhaps a dumb question, but I really want to know. All in all, brilliant and inspired!

I think it would be good if you could cycle thru the songs with out only being alowed so many per hr, and if there was a way to go back and listen to your favorites more than once. other than that I love it

The new social network features are a great step forward. The social networking space is moving so fast. Pandora took a really small step with very limited interactivity. Let's hop this is only the first move.
I love this company. Peace all. Happy Holidays

I was wondering if you got a chance to hear Andy Tubman who is lead singer of The Jane Does based in Los Angeles. Andy hails from Philly but spent a lot of time in Nashville music scene before heading to L.A. He has an incredible voice and the band is great to see live. Add Andy to the Genome Project. He is worth hearing. www.janedoes.com
