Thank you for creating this site, I greatly appreciate it. I would suggest that if someone types a particular artist's music that you have as a part of your programming a specific music selection that plays that artist just in case someone just wants to hear that artist's music.
Once again thank you,
Brian

Well, I fell asleep last night with my computer on in the background tuned in to Pandora. Next day got up early, shut off the computer, went up to the new golf course at Harding Park, and shot a 76.....my all-time best score by 5 strokes. I give full credit to Pandora for filling my brain and body with the rhythm I needed to create a relaxed yet powerful golf swing. Thank you Pandora!

I love the associative way you can find music and artists. Can you expand into more international music like Lingala, Zouk, Baliwood and ndombolo? I love a wide ranging flavor to my tunes.

I just want to thank you guys so much for creating this wonderful thing. I can never go back to listening to anything else. As soon as I get to work I immediately put on pandora and that's what I listen to all day. You guys play everything that I love and I just can't get enough. Once again thank you so much. Music is my life and you have just made It so much better!!!!

Hey I Was Wondering, Are There Plans To Add Anime SndTrks To The Playlist? There Are A Lot Of Great J-Pop Artists Who Contribute 2 SndTrks, And I Think It Would Be Great To Hear Them, And Also Japanese Composers Who Are Dedicated To This Genre, They Turn Out Great New Sounds As Well, Anyway, Keeping All My Fingers Crossed, And Thanx For All The Hard Work! You Guys Won All My Awards.

I Have A Couple Kweschuns About The Shared Stations, Will The List Be Expanded To More Than Just The 20 Available Now, And Is There A Chance That Eventually We Would Be Able 2 'Collaboratively Filter' Stations? Thanx.

hey pandora geniuses:)
I'm a 'pander' (term for pandora lovers i coined haha) for quite some time now and although Im not the hottest on Indian Bollywood music being added to your phenomenal archive, I would love to be part of bringing some of the more progressive and eclectic sounds of Indian styles including drum and bass, house, blues and hard rock and classical.
let me know if its on the cards and if you guys are coming to india !

Hi Dueckter,
You can put a list of your Pandora stations on your blog. Go to YOUR profile page on pandora, then click the button in the upper left that says Add to Blog.
You'll be able to use the page there to generate code that will enable you to add your station list to your blog.
You can see an example on my blog: http://copgirlfriend.wordpress.com in the right column.
Thanks!

I love the concept, however what would be really cool is to allow us to access a library of our music and be our own programers.
Posted by: Dave at September 1, 2006 12:49 PM
Hey Tim,
I'd like to suggest a feature along the lines of Sound Check in iTunes where volume is automatically adjusted to the same level. Any chance? Keep up the xlnt work!

I love the variety of music, but i'm having a hard time listening to the song all the way through without it cracking and scratching. What does that mean?
Posted by: Tona at September 2, 2006 09:40 AM
I enjoy Pandora all the time, except where I don't have high-speed internet.
Still hopeing for an off-line version that selects music from my personal collection using your Genome logarithms so I don't have to create playlists anymore.
Thanks!

I Love Pandora!
I was wondering, Where's "Eskimo Joe"? (Artist)
Pandora is probably the greatest website ever. Also I was going to ask if you will ever get music videos as well?
Posted by: Blake at September 2, 2006 05:49 PM
I'm probably 40 years older than most of your listeners, but I, too, love pandora. I've been able to find lots of music I like, but want to know if you have any plans to add classical and/or Christian music? Keep up the good work!

I love Pandora and would love to see it turn a profit for itself. The stuff that I hear that I like, I download from emusic.com. It's a great service and is cheaper than iTunes and Amazon. Any way of adding emusic to your list of places to download?
Good luck Pandora congratz on the NYTimes article!!

HOLY COW!!!
I googled "pandora" (because I was too lazy to type in the URL), and the second entry was this blog entry. The odds of this were incredible. I live in Blacksburg, and use Pandora to keep me sane while writing papers for AP English/History.
Note that this event is in less than 24 hours!!!!

New to Pandora. This site is amazing. Come on over to Charlottesville, VA while you're down our way.

Not sure where to put regular feedback to you. Here goes -- great product! I am enjoying the whole concept of musical DNA immensely (I am a jazz musician.)
2 ideas: a) can you give us a bit more info when we click on the album that the song comes from? Date of recording and other personnel on the CD.
b) as others have mentioned, it would be great to be able to delete individual DNA pieces from a profile (rather than just "I like the song" or I don't.) Either that, or how about Ranking of the top 25 characteristics.
And I would like to see more DNA, when I click on Why is this song playing? You give me about 5, but if I go to the song I get 9. Let me see 'em all !!
Good stuff.

I'd strongly recommend visiting Park City, UT during the Sundance Film Festival in January. National acts pour in to play intimate venues, to wildly enthusiastic crowds.
Acts as divergent as G-Love, Cake, Snoop Dogg, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows, Emmylou Harris, Ben Folds, and Liz Phair (just to name a few)play over the course of the ten days, and one really has an opportunity to meet the artists in a more relaxed setting, pre and post concert.
Typical of the nature of the event was Metallica poppinbg in for an unannounced gig last year at Harry O's, where no-one is ever more than 30 yards from the stage. Also typical is the overabundance of riches, where one actually has to choose whose show to miss...in '05, Cake was playing at the same time as Snoop (I chose Cake, and was well rewarded), Ben Folds over The Bacon Brothers, etc.

Thanks for the talk tonight at Virginia Tech, I really enjoyed it (And the free hats and shirts that I will be sporting around campus). Hope the company continues to grow and be successfull. Look forward to hearing more about you guys in the news.

Thanks again for coming out to Virginia Tech! I learned more about running an Internet company (basically my major) from listening to your experiences for an hour than I have from all of my classes combined this semester! Have you ever considered a career as a professor?
Keep up the great work with the site!
Cheers,

i love this site! as soon as i found it i had to post a bulletin on myspace about how great i thought this site was, and informed every music lover that they need to check it out! i would rather suggest that you be able to rate the songs that were generated, on certain qualities over others, i.e. lyrical style, sound, beat, area of origin, non-explicit content, etc. with that i feel, would give you a better understanding of why people like certain music over others and in turn generate a more appreciated playlist. anyway thanks again, and i will definitely keep tuning in :)

Something strange has been happening. I have a "Christina Aguiliera" listening station, which is great for the most part. Lately, however, I've been getting a lot of Christmas songs ??? (Christmas is a long ways away) and off-key folk and rock or really old weird who-knows-what music being played -- stuff I would never listen to and is in no way even close to being of the same genre. I can accept a little bit of a stretch now and then, and even think it's a good way to learn about different/new artists I wouldn't have otherwise tried or known of. But, if I really wanted to listen to a lot of that kind of music, I'd create a new listening station. Also, there have been times when there's been such a long stretch of these other genres that I've had to close out the listening station altogether, just to put an end to it. Don't get me wrong, that won't stop me from listening to Pandora. I think Pandora is absolutely, unequivocally GREAT!! It's just that, occasionally, I'm forced to switch to another one of my listening stations just to end an unwelcomed stretch of... well.... crap!!
Posted by: Autumn at September 19, 2006 12:28 PM
I appreciate so much your music station. I love all jazz, especially smooth jazz, blues, and the classics like Ella Fitzgerald, Satchmo, Duke Ellington, B.B. King, etc. I also like some soft rock, 80's is my favorite, past that I'm lost. I like 70's too. What an era! I survived!
I also like classical, baroque mostly.
When I'm out driving on the highway, I occasinally tune in to country. So I'm pretty diverse in my tastes. But jazz cannot be beat! It's America!
Thanks again for such a pleasant music experience.

I discovered Pandora earlier this year, and really like the concept of creating "customized" radio stations. Tim W. has done a fantastic job with this! I am, however, puzzled by one thing: I created a station by naming the song "Whispering Hope" (hoping for the Jo Stafford/Gordon MacRae duet) a month or two ago. I think Pandora displayed a message to the effect that (for copyright reasons?) it could not always play a specific song, but would play similar music. The station proceeded to play songs from the 40's and 50's, which is fine, but I have unsuccessfully tried to narrow it down to ONLY vocal harmony. I have clicked "I don't like it" on umpteen songs which did NOT include any vocal harmony, but Pandora doesn't seem to recognized what I am after. The other day, after all of this time, it started playing a lot of barbershop quartet music, with a couple of Boswell Sisters numbers mixed in. I thought, "Oh, Boy - it finally understands what I want!" However, it continues to play a lot of Sinatra, Crosby, Gene Kelly, Jo Stafford, etc. songs from the 40's and 50's - I love most of those songs, but I already get them on one or more of my other stations. Has anyone had any luck creating a station like this?

Hi Folks,
A friend put me on to this and what can I say?
You have pandoraddicts in Europe.
Spreading like wildfire and so much fun.
Haven't suscribed yet but will do when wage packet comes in at end of month.
New Wave means different things to different people and we could have wild discussions about why one song should or shouldn't belong but that's what its all about. Right?
Thanks for the Deerhoof mail and THANK YOU for loads of fun.
Deadly cool as we say here and you guys rock as you say there.
Cheers!

well , what the crap? I think this site is awesome. Input a little of what you like and dont like and you own your rockin station. This is my first night but i'm blown away. I want to listen to what I like ,not what somebody else likes. Totally customizablity. (i'm not sure that is a word but i'm in charge of everything here ,so I rule!) Do you of total lack-worthiness have any problem with the rational from me,-the supreme musical wizard of choice? Of coarse I jest because if you have read this far than you are cooler than any son of a bitchin music lovin blogin fool that rules this evil screwed up world that we call "home". Peace to you and receive blessings when you blog me. Come on now and blog the crap outta me.!!!! Do it !!! Write back before you explode into the future of exsistence. And then how the crap will you know if you are coming or going, been or gone ?
