561 Geary Street @ Taylor Directions

This is a FREE event. Seating is limited, so if you'd like to attend, please RSVP to tim.westergren@pandora.com

Hi Tim, Lil here...Thank you for posting this event, and yes seating is limited! Association of Music Professionals is co-sponsoring this and we're helping to collect all CD's from musicians who want to submit music to Pandora. We encourage artists to attach their info/one sheets and bring a few extra CDs for the following talent buyers in attendance:

Chameleon Music (internet music label)
Starstruck The Agency (artist management/West Coast booking)
WAAAHOO Productions (music event production)
LZ Entertainment (street team management/development)

See you there!

Hello all,
Iam a native bay area person. Unfortunatly, I wont be able to attend this Town Hall meeting. I would've liked to express my feelings about Pandora!
Basically I would have to say that Pandora is a music lovers best friend. I would love to hear more about how it works.

There was a similar event this past Wednesday, and I've written a detailed account of it at http://mertseger.blogspot.com/2006/07/pandora-townhall-meeting-san-francisco.html .

These meetings are a fantastic way to learn more about Pandora, learn about job opportunities, and meet your fellow Pandora listeners. Tim and the rest of the Pandora staff genuinely love engaging with people about music, the industry and the software. We've opened a thread at http://pandora-forum.com/ to talk about it.

Thanks Tim!

Hello there, I'm glad you all have produced such a wonderful product, but (please pardon if this isn't quite relevant to the post) I have one specific suggestion for it's improvement. I would like a limit set for the display of how many songs that have been played in the Pandora player's javascript -- because there are simply too many that build up as the list grows and it seriously can bog a computer's resources. For example, I've listened to about two dozen songs and each are listed in the history -- but now my computer has a difficult time with additional songs; I usually have to close the window and reopen Pandora. Perhaps only a dozen listed would be fine.

Sincerely and gratefully,
ThePandoraUser

Just want to say that I just really am in love with this site..I work a late night shift, and I have grown to literally enjoy the music and how it is introduced. I have learned so many new songs and artists as well as hearing my favorites..thank you so much for what you have done here. This is about the most ingenious act of music that I know. I hope someday you will make it to the Kansas City area. Have a great time, and keep doing a great job.

Argh, I arrive in SF on business on the 26th. Dammit.

Any chance of a roadshow in hawaii? :)

Pandora is an outstanding music application. Any plans for a music video version? Sorry can't make it to SWIG but I certainly would address the topic of music video possibilities!

Thanks

Really sorry I missed this event. The bus I was on (traveling from the South Bay to SF) broke down and I didn't get to SF until it was too late.

Did anyone manage to jot down a summary of the evening or take photos or...?

:(

I'm presenting at the Attention Trust meetup tonight. Damn.

If we are done early enough, maybe I'll drag everyone out to Swig.

I really enjoyed the event at Swig. I LOVE PANDORA, this site rocks!! Thanks!

I seriously suggest that everyone reads the account of the meeting written by Mertseger. Very nice summary, and then you know why you should attend.

And send your job-seeking musical friends, too ;-)

i think Pandora should have something for the funny bone and include recordings of comedians. So we can have funny bone radio.

Thx

Pandora is amazing. I've bought lots of tunes (from itunes) from artists that I never would have heard of if it wasn't for Pandora. Love the site. Time for a town hall meeting in Canada?

My college daughter just told me about your website--wow! As a parent who has no time or energy to buy CDs or download music, this site is a godsend! I used to be in the record biz and lament the loss of my hipness and ability to stay connected to the latest and greatest. Getting all my albums cued up is too time consuming. Thank you, thank you! I am suggesting that we use your service for our office patrons to listen to while they wait. Keep it up!

Hey, just signed up off a Yahoo search for a radio station while i was painting a house. I am pleased for your enthusiasm and of course the journey into musicwith love...I have lived in the bay area for many years and just recently relocated to the virign islands...so bless your hearts for all the updates!

I am slightly annoyed as I am slightly wasted and want a different selection of tunes sometimes...I guesss you guys are the djs and ultimately decide but it would be nice to have an option of what you play in certain "genres"..so I wouldn't keep getting that pop-up about skipping tracks in an hours time..hey, when love calls...whatever...I'm psyched for all you do...especially Bowie's version of "Waiting for the Man" and yeah...keep on rockin people! Peace
Love, Kate
P.S. Am I in the right plave for these comments?

I discovered Pandora from one of the old threads in a forum I was posting the other day. I click on the link out of curiousity and found the site totally awesome. From that moment on, when I want to listen to music Pandora first would come to my mind. I'm just wondering if an icon of Pandora cna be place on the desktop, so it would be very convenient everytime we listen to your station.

We love it! love it! love it! AND

Why do we get country or heavy metal or punk when we are listening to Vanmorrison or CSN or the Stones? They don't fit we the type of Artist?
Maybe it because of certain number of beats or what????????????????????????

I just found Pandora and I am in awe at what you guys are doing here. This is just awesome! A few things did come to mind as I listened and created my own little music universe...I wondered if there was a way to maybe script the lyrics to the songs I am discovering? Also, sometimes I find that the same songs keep playing for the same bands and I would like to hear more. Great job People!!! Keep it rockin!
