Yes, actually, we do have a pool table. Believe it or not, we work hard here in the Pandora office, and occasionally people play a game of pool for a break.
Actually, Chris pretty much never plays pool, but in this instance, he was waiting for a problem with his computer to be solved. I'm loathe to bother the Analysts when they have their headphones on, so I took the opportunity to take a quick pic during his "break."

Lying on my bed, after a 10+ hour workday, just after a good shower. Really cool music to enjoy!

Mermin was perfect for chilling, and With got me pretty tripped up. Great!

Obi - don`t wonder about that, our company has an empty room used for playing, a library and chill rooms. And lots of board games too.

Still got enough room for a pool table, but our sales people play office golf, not pool - else we could meet one day and do a tournament ;-)

This is incredible!

A question:
How much does my clicking Like/Dislike affect what is picked next? Sometimes I hesitate to rate a song because I might like that some aspect of it (the artist/lyrics/rhythm/etc) but not the song as a whole, and I do not want the aspect I like to be excluded from future content.

And a suggestion:
Be able to have songs defaut to "Like" if the user does not input a preference. I like rating the songs, but as your service is pretty good, I do not need to click "Dislike" very often. So, it would be nice be able to choose to have the songs automatically get catagorized as "Like".

p.s. Question: Do you track requests that come in through the Add Music to this Station function? I.e. if you get a request for an artist/song that is not yet in the library, does it get added to a list?

I do comb through the failed searches from our tuner, yes. But it is a really long list, so your best bet, especially if you are recommending something obscure-ish, is to email the suggestion to suggest-music@pandora.com.

We can't add everything, but we do look into everything. Keep in mind that we get thousands of requests of one form or another every week.... So: if you list the artist and then give us a little bit of info about your suggested music, it helps us a lot. The easier it is for us to know how great your suggestion is (and where we can purchase the cd), the more likely your music will show up on Pandora at some point.

You guys are GREAT! My co-worker introduced this to me, we both listen while we work. I listen at home while I clean. Great Stuff! Who needs a radio with aggravating commercials when we have you with non-stop music. And to top it off, we can pick and choose what we like. I Love It!

Just had a thought/suggestion. When you play music I've already heard/own/"own" I tend to click the thumbs up immediately, whereas if i've never heard the song, well, i have to hear it before thumbs upping. Just thought you could put a small timer in the flash to cull this data. It might give a higher res look at listener's tastes, giving you a "strongly like" or "strongly dislike".

I just wanted to say that i definately enjoy the hell out of the fact you have kmk and all the "Ohter"music that i listen to. i have gone to many sites to try and find a constant flow of songs i enjoy, and now i did. Thanx a lot. And you should try Salida, Colorado for a pit stop. maybe we can all get somethin started.

i love this its so cool to be able to hear very quickly what i want no matter how obscure, well i havent heard "can"yet or stereolab but ill keep listening it would be cool to customize the viewer and also have some access to cool graphics and some cool visuals. also maybe a place to see how many people are choosing the bands or artists and where geographically as well as helping for marketing it would be interesting for us listeners

Thanks so much for Pandora! I have been working on the Hurricane Katrina/Rita recovery project since November and have been starving for new music to come my way. Your set up by playing related music is simply brillent.

I just happened upon Pandora. Thank goodness. You take the artist I like to listen to and match familiar songs for my station I created. I think this is the greatest station ever! I listen to it every single day. I am in college online and love to listen to my station while I am doing my work. I also love to listen to my music to help destress. You have made a difference in my life. My internet was shut off for a brief period of time, and all I could think about was getting back to my pandora station. I was going crazy without it.... Fantastic! Since I had given up trying to find what I like on the radio I didn't think anybody played my favorites anymore. Then I found Pandora and I love it! Your Bluegrass section is out of this world good too!

I love it and I will sign up to to pay for it - but I don't work - Now I have evanescence as a station and I love but They had evanescence playing with the fans screaming it the back round. I don't want to here that cuz I like to blast my headphones when I listen to somthing I love and them girls can screan and that hurts and it takes the fun out of the music...so No conserts

i definatly think there should be a equalizer...it would add the perfect touch to the whole thing
