Pandora Scheduled Maintenance - 9/26/05 @ 10PM PT

We're going to take Pandora off the air for a couple of hours tonight starting at approximately 10PM pacific time. We'll be deploying upgraded systems to better meet the warm reception we've received. We'll be back online around midnight.

Don't get your hopes up, this isn't the next major feature release of Pandora. Don't worry though, we've heard your feedback and we're hard at work on a bunch of great new stuff whose release is just around the corner. Stay tuned!

Tom
CTO @ Pandora

[Update: We're back! Have fun listening.]

Ahhhh!!!! Nooooo!!!! Well, okay. I guess I'll just have to listen to music the "old fashioned way" ... MP3s on my computer. ;-).

I just stumbled upon this site and I instantly feel in love with it. I typed in "Phish" to start with and after a few songs I got "Something to Believe In" by Poison... Unexpected, but VERY much enjoyed! You guys just got a new subscriber.

This is a pretty excellent service. Thanks a ton, I'll probably be subscribing to this (and here I thought my mp3s would be enough for forever).

Pandora is, quite simply, amazing. Think of putting this into hardware - I want a dedicated Pandora machine with a "I like" and "I don't like" button next to my bed, even if it requires a wifi connection.

Beautiful!

I have found your site through a major article on the german "spiegel" site.

I think I remember visiting your project some years ago...

Anyhow... I am just listening to a station which has been setup up for me, by just entering ONE artist. This is so stunning!!! So breathtaking! awesome!!!

Man I love this new station and although I said I'll never pay for tv or radio... I will get myself a subscription to this service!

this is just so awesome!!! keep it up!!!!!

one last beg: A plugin or standalone application, which does not require a webbrowser!!!!

KEEP IT UP! LOVE YOU ALL!

Got yourself a new subscriber for the next 12 months! ;)

Looking forward to use your heavenly service!!!!

Yup - count me in (as well as at last three people I've told today). I've been complaining for years that there's no way to discover new grown-up music without spending hours researching and listening to commercial-ridden, teeny-bop radio stations playing crap for hours in the hope of discovering a gem.

Interestingly, one of the tracks you chose made me go back and dig out an album I haven't listened to for a while!

I'm an old timer. Glad your site remembers my kind of music.

Hier vond ik een site over grootkeukens. Het is de professionele oplossing voor een nieuwe of bestaande horecazaak. Vraag de gratis catalogus aan via de site van Masters-grootkeukens.

Well hello this is Graham Flowers in the UK. I found your site from a magazine called Web user. It failed to mention that your service was not available in the UK. What a disappointment still roll on the day keep up the good work.
Best regards, Graham.

After two days, the FDA will confirm: It's addictive. How do I buy stock?

I'd like to hear more about music selection for movie soundtracks, which was my Pandora before you appeared.

I hope you do take suggestions, however, as mine of Eydie Gormé, Earl Bostic, Iko, Iko by the Dixie Cups, Johhny C, and other 50s-60s relics were not found; however, I was thrilled to find The Escorts in your inventory.

thanks for all the great music i realy apreciate it all and i know you guys and girls (ladies and gentlemen) work hard at trying to get the songs right that fit each specific persons taste in music. when you play a particular artists album can you use more of the songs from their album or cd? for instance when i hear you play the blackbyrds cd i also would like to hear more than just the same two songs from the very outstanding cd. i know you're trying to satisify many but maybe this will help you all just diversify the songs a bit more. i like the fact that you would like some input from the listeners because i feel it does give us a voice and choice in selection of what's being served. so keep doing your thing and as you all continue to expand the horizons you will do better in the satisfaction process of your customers. thanks
