Billing Coordinator/Accountant - Oakland, CA

Pandora Media is looking for a Billing Coordinator/Accountant for our Finance Department. The right individual will be a key contributor in the Finance Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing billing requests for advertising campaigns.
  • Responsible for uploading and understanding 3rd party ad servers delivered impressions.
  • Acts as a liaison between Finance and Sales Operations in reviewing and resolving any delivery discrepancies.
  • Issue invoices upon receipt of approved billing requests.
  • Emails customer invoices.
  • Responsible for initiating phase 1 in the collection process.
  • Assist other finance team members in a variety of other finance functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in an online advertising environment and solid understanding of online advertising billing process is a must.
  • Very strong Excel experience is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of 3rd party ad servers (ATLAS, DFA, Eyewonder, Pointroll).
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in accounts receivable (A/R), collections and revenue recognition.
  • Detailed approach to reviewing and billing based on customers' insertion orders.
  • Very strong understanding of workflow process.
  • Prior entertainment or media experience a plus.

Business Development Director - Oakland, CA

Pandora is seeking a Business Development professional whose primary responsibility will be to lead and manage Pandora's business development initiatives in the automotive arena. Capitalizing on the momentum created by Pandora's recent automotive partnership announcements with Ford, Pioneer and Alpine, this role will be focused on making Pandora broadly available within the vehicle environment in the US to dramatically increase its share of total radio listening (migrating listeners from traditional radio to Pandora's personalized offering). This position is a key hire for the company and success in this role means contributing huge value to the company over the medium to long-term. Director will report to SVP, Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Sign and manage automotive OEM and Tier I supplier partnerships that present an opportunity to dramatically increase Pandora's listenership and audience reach in the car. Manage partnerships all the way through the pipeline - including prospecting, selling, contracting and managing implementations through and after launch.
  • Work closely with Pandora's product and engineering teams and other customer support personnel in support of your partners' development and launch efforts.
  • Quickly absorb and be able to converse effectively about the technical details of Pandora vehicle deployments.
  • Ensure the successful management of existing automotive partner relationships, regularly review partnership performance metrics, growth strategies, and ancillary opportunities. Build long-term strategic relationships with top tier OEMs and suppliers, and give them the highest level of customer service.
  • Track metrics and success criteria for your BD programs and activities.
  • Establish business development goals through collaborative meetings with Pandora colleagues, and contribute to strategy decisions that impact the nature of Pandora's business development activities over time.
  • Be the in-house expert on the business development vertical(s) under your charge. Stay on top of all the latest trends that impact Pandora's business decisions in those arenas, and share those perspectives with the rest of the organization.
  • Ensure effective visibility for Pandora in the industries under your charge and ensure that Pandora is "top of mind" with potential business and strategic partners.

Requirements:

  • MBA strongly desired; undergraduate degree required.
  • 5+ years experience as a successful business development professional within the automotive software/infotainment arena, preferably focused on OEM installations.
  • A sophisticated knowledge of the automotive infotainment space; general music industry knowledge a plus.
  • An impressive ability to converse knowledgeably about the technical details of such infotainment integrations in vehicles with business folks and engineers alike.

Marketing Communications Designer


The Marketing Communications Designer will translate complex business and product messages into simple concepts. We are seeking candidates with extensive experience creating graphics and presentation designs for sales collateral, presentations, demos and other materials for business-to-business marketing communications. You will be a key contributor in developing competitive and persuasive sales and marketing materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Create content and develop graphics for client presentations, RFPs, website pages, e-mail blasts and other collateral.
  • Develop, write and edit sales support and other marketing communications materials using Powerpoint, Adobe, HTML, etc.
  • Create marketing materials in a deadline-oriented team setting. Interact with internal managers to coordinate and execute sales presentations for client presentations and RFPs.
  • Help ensure the consistency of our brand, tone, and message for all ad sales materials and assure quality of reproduction for images of brands and products and managing image/presentation source library.

Requirements:
