It won’t happen again for 70,000 years. Thanksgiving 2013 has a special twist; Hanukkah begins on Thanksgiving this year, some are referring to this occasion as “Thanksgivukkah.” Naturally, Pandora curators have taken advantage of this once-in-an-eternity opportunity to commemorate these two popular family holidays, both of which focus on gratitude. What better way to celebrate and say thank you than with music?
We have two genre stations fitting for the occasion, both of which have been spiced up for 2013. Thanksgiving Day Radio can be your soundtrack during the day, whether you’re relaxing or cooking, and Hanukkah Radio can be the accompaniment to dinner.

St. Patrick’s Day is almost here and we welcome all our listeners of Irish descent (as well as those who become Irish for the day) to celebrate the holiday in Pandora style!
As many know, St. Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on March 17th. It is named after St. Patrick (c. AD 385-461) and commemorates the arrival of Christianity to Ireland. It has since gradually become more of a secular celebration of “Irishness” and Irish culture.
For our Pandora listeners down under, St. Patrick’s Day is widely celebrated in New Zealand and Australia. The Irish made a large impact on the social, political and educational systems of both countries, due to the large numbers of Irish people that immigrated to the colonies.
So whether your feasting with some Irish stew, indulging in green beer, attending a parade or just wearing green, we invite you to enjoy this year’s St. Patrick’s Day with stations curated by the “leprechaun curators” at Pandora:

For anyone who hasn’t had the chance to celebrate Australia Day or is wondering what it’s all about, Australia Day is much like the 4th of July here in the United States. The first public holiday in Australia, January 26th, 1788 was the day that Captain Arthur Phillip arrived in Sydney with the First Fleet from Great Britain, establishing the country’s first settlement. The national holiday marks an occasion for Australians to come together and celebrate their country and culture.
This year we’re joining in – whether you’re celebrating Australia Day with a picnic in the park, a BBQ at home with friends, a parade or a sporting event, or you’re headed to the Big Day Out (BDO) concert, we invite you to check out some of the stations we’ve curated for your Australia Day long weekend….
