It’s almost time for us to hit the road to Austin again for the South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference and Festival, and we couldn’t be more excited for the amazing lineup this year at the Pandora Discovery Den. We have an incredibly diverse mix of 37 artists representing eight countries, from the legendary, like Wyclef Jean, to emerging buzz phenomena, like ODESZA, Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear and Big Data. There is something for everyone to discover with four days of both emerging and established artists performing across four genres – electronic, hip hop/R&B, Americana and rock.

When it comes to working out, putting in those long hours at the gym just isn’t the same without music. And let’s be honest, with it now being almost a full two months into the new year, we figured it’s about that time for some musical motivation to help keep those fitness resolutions alive.
With so many options, we took a look at your favorite workout stations so far for this year, with Pop and Hip Hop Power Workout being the unanimous favorite overall. His folk-rooted style often features melodic songwriting, mellow rock instrumentation, and extensive vamping. Other artists that can be heard on his station include Joshua Radin, Iron & Wine, and Christina Perri. He came by with musicians Zeb Briskovich and Miles Vandiver and played “Figure it Out” off his EP The Getaway Car.
Beach Day is a surf-rock duo from Florida. Kimmy Drake and Skyler Black make up the band, who’s punk influenced sound frequently features electric rock instrumentation, extensive vamping, and a vocal centric aesthetic. Other artists that can be heard on their station include Alabama Shakes, Pixies and Seapony. They came by with musicians Caroline Sands and Daniel Zerbo and played “All My Friends Were Punks” off their album Native Echoes.
Showcasing creative production with samples from Ginuwine to Henry Krinkle, Drizzy continues to expand his sound and vibe. Singing, rapping and slurring his way to the top, Drake floats his rhymes and melodies like a relaxed NBA player warmed up and ready for the finals.

One of the pioneering groups that rose to international fame during the Rock En Español furor of the 90’s, the band helped set the template that was emulated by countless groups. Other artists that can be heard on their station include Maná, Enanitos Verdes and Jaguares. They came by our offices and played “La Mentira” off their latest release, Retour.
