When the makers of the Jim Carrey movie Yes Man needed to cast an intense, hip band for Zooey Deschanel's musician character to front, they called on the women of Von Iva to play those roles. And while Von Iva enjoyed making the movie, they were happy to leave Los Angeles. "Lala" is their take on the dangers of celebrity culture, performed live at Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco.
