Great Venues: Knitting Factory, Part 1

Knitting Factory, episode 1
New York is host to a wonderful multi-stage performance space called the Knitting Factory, which has its roots in avant-garde jazz and downtown experimental music, but has since blossomed into many other styles of sound. The club is moving from Manhattan to Brooklyn, but we were able to get a backstage tour before they packed. This video, shot during the CMJ Music Marathon, features glimpses of performances by St. Vincent and Bowerbirds as well.
