Starting as a bordello in 1907, then as a burlesque club, and finally in its present incarnation as the Great American Music Hall, this San Francisco landmark has seen a lot of action. , hosting performances by everyone from Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Bill Evans to the Grateful Dead to Rufus Wainwright and the Arcade Fire.

Outstanding!! Loved all the videos!
Looks like to me Pandora is a real pioneer with this internet self made radio stations and now the great videos. Although I am now 75 years old,I was born in San Francisco and have been a jazz lover all my life and still love the cool sounds of the old masters as well as the new breed just starting. Keep up the great work! Best thing on my computer! DD

I heard that Boz Scaggs owns this place as well as a smaller venue "Slims" is this true? Does he own the whole place or is he a partial owner? Boz Rules!

Hey, Dirty Dan and Nubia! Cool to hear, and I'm happy that your jazz stations are working so well for you.

John -- Boz Scaggs definitely owns Slim's, and his involvement as co-owner of the Great American Music Hall is more recent. I recommend checking out the following site for much information on Boz Scaggs and his varied musical involvements:

A beautiful, vintage San Francisco venue with excellent sight lines and sound. I've been there for the Radiators, the Subdudes (a live recording), and the first concert that Gov't Mule played in the Bay Area.
Also on the same block as the Mitchell Brothers adult theater. I heard a story that the Great American Music Hall didn't have restrooms that were accessible to people in wheelchairs so they had to go over to Mitchell Brothers to use the facilities and then they didn't want to leave there to go back to the concert!
