She’s layering R&B, Hip-Hop and Indie to create a soulful New Wave-tinged R&B. Since its release last summer, she has been garnering buzz across the board with her smoky vocals, capturing attention of both artists and record labels.

The Roots…And Then You Shoot Your CousinScreen Shot 2014-05-30 at 2.44.05 PM

The 11th studio album by legendary Hip-Hop/Neo-Soul group and NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon house band – their latest offering is a concept opera, similar to their 2011 album Undun, of tortured stories from a collection of conflicted characters. It combines Jazz-influenced Hip-Hop and social awareness. Included are the singles “Tomorrow” and the melancholic “When The People Cheer.”

Conor OberstUpside Down Mountain

Made in Nashville with Dawes and Father John Misty producer Jonathan Wilson along with the Swedish duo First Aid Kit, Conor Oberst’s new album draws influences from the Folk-Rock music that came out of Los Angeles during the late ‘60s/early ‘70s. It’s quite a change from the electronic material on 2011’s The People’s Key, his previous album with his former indie rock band Bright Eyes.
