A Personalized Social Experience

I’m excited to announce a new way to share the music you love with our new Facebook integration. On iPhone, Android, and pandora.com, you can now choose to automatically publish your Pandora music activity to Facebook which will populate your musical identity in Facebook’s newly launched music section.

pandora-publish-to-facebookWhile we’ve offered social features that allow you to explicitly share your Pandora stations and music discoveries to Facebook for some time, today’s update makes sharing effortless. This means it’s easier than ever to discover new music from friends’ listening activity in your Facebook News Feed or by checking out the music section on their profile. The new music section on your Facebook profile includes a dedicated radio collection which offers a great place to find inspiration for new stations to listen to.

We’ve made the feature incredibly easy to use – a quick toggle on your phone or press of a button on the web and you’re ready to go. Of course, you can customize what you share, including your listening activity, the tracks and artists you like, or the people you follow on Pandora and you will always be able to edit your activity on Facebook in case there’s a guilty pleasure or two that you don’t want friends discovering. We’ve also made it very easy to toggle automatic sharing on and off. This new feature puts you totally in control of what’s shared and the experience is entirely opt in.

Music is a natural facilitator of connections between people and we’re excited to help strengthen those bonds around all of the music you’re discovering on Pandora. You can learn more at http://help.pandora.com/customer/portal/articles/1132168 and as always, we’d love to hear from you.

  1. I don’t use Facebook so this “change” is not helpful for me. I did frequently use the arrow to learn about and see other information. I also posted and read other comments. Where has this feature gone? I have searched the settings and internet articles to find an answer but alas I have failed. Can you assist with this.

  2. I agree with the commenter above; I really miss the song/artist info. Removing that was a big disappointment, Pandora.

  3. I would be happier if you would stop trying “indoctrinate” with your Hillary Clinton and Obama messaging. I do NOT appreciate it at all.
