Pandora One Gift Subscriptions Have Arrived!

I’m very excited to share the news that Pandora is now offering gift subscriptions! You can buy them at www.pandora.com/gifting and you have the option to choose between a printable or an equally elegant email version. The cost of a gift subscription is $36 for a one-year subscription to Pandora One.

  1. Dear Tim, I listen to Pandora at work & home on my computer but can`not get you on my phone. I have a Samsung Mythic and when I tried to download your site it said I was`nt compatable. What`s that all about. Kris

  2. I didn’t know where else to ask this but why does Pandora think I’m in CA when I’m really in NY? I visited CA last month and ever since then it thinks I’m still there. It’s not a big deal for me but I think your advertisers would mind.

  5. The Pandora One app doesn’t have nearly as many features as the web version. Will you be adding the ability to send out tweets of the track you’re listening to and scroll through music you’ve listened to to rate it in case you forgot? Also to select what to include in the Quick Mix? And to add variety to a channel?

  6. Pandora is helping me clean the screen porch. Music is the ONLY thing that gets me through tasks I detest, and Pandora gives me what I enjoy without even searching. I feel like such a chowderhead for not tuning in sooner! There is no telling how much money I have spent on iTunes on music that sounded OK in the sample, but turned out to be either a complete yawner or total trash. NOW I see what all the fuss is about. Thanks. Really.

  8. I’ve only recently been turned onto Pandora, but I’m a big fan. Having it now on my Tivo makes me want to upgrade and gift it to a couple of Tivo-toting family members. However, the current bit-rate is very poor when piped through a home audio system.
    According to your page, Pandora One does not stream the improved audio to Tivo boxes. Is this true?
    To me, it’s a deal breaker on whether or not Pandora One is worth it.

  10. I have a suggestion. I know a lot about music theory and stuff like that, and a lot of times there is a song that comes up on my Pandora account that know I don’t like for a specific reason. If I were able to specify that reason, Pandora wouldn’t have to really guess at it.
    So I think it would be helpful if you had the option to 1) just thumbs down the song if you don’t know why you don’t like it or just don’t have time to select a reason, or 2) you could go down a checklist and select the exact reason(s) you don’t like the song, if you already know the correct terminology and don’t mind taking the time to go down the list.
    I think this would really help cut out the guesswork of trying to figure out which songs people would like and not like, and help you to personalize your station much more quickly.

  12. You guys really should be a lot more honest in offering this. Trying to skip more than 4 or 5 songs in one hour should not be reason why you have to start a whole new playlist or whatever the proper word. Plus you do not offer the latest releases by artists. I am sorry to be complaining but those two things PLUS the fact one has practically NO CONTROL of their screen and how to list things or go to the right place where they can even create a playlist that is adequate after How many new playlists does one have to create because what you offer up is not even the same tempo or anything else to the first song. I thought you had some computerized program that would say you would at least create a playlist with the same tempo … just anything like the first song and I have not gotten that at all.
    I hope you improve upon it a lot. I do not like complaining but this is the first program I have paid enough for to at least say that it does not live up to any expectations that I had. Sorry for being honest.

  13. I was told about Pandora by a few friends. Just thought it was another internet radio site.
    They (Pandora) got a lot more going on here.
    I been getting a lot of references from fans about listening to my music on here.
    I totally recommend Pandora.

  14. When I listen to Pandora through my DVD and PS3 applications to my TV, it doesn’t display whether I have previous bookmarked or given thumbs up to a song. This would be extremely useful information while trying to “train” new stations and fine tune the stations I’ve already set up. Does anyone know if this feature is in the works for future releases? Or possibly there is an upgrade to the Pandora software on my Samsung streaming DVD player?

  15. As with JD, I don’t know where else to post since Pandora provides zero access to headquarters. I am paying my 99cent a month but they just cut me off and suggested I upgrade TO the 99cent status. There is no way to contact them to try to correct the process. Anyone have any suggestions?

  16. This is completely unrelated to the post, but I couldn’t find someplace else to say that you have an awesome service and I love Pandora. You should see my Facebook posts about how awesome Pandora is and what new fantabulousness it has offered me. Seriously, it’s embarrassing. The engagement is expected to be announced any day now.

  17. Pandora hasn’t been working for 2 weeks now, when before it was working fine. When is this going to be fixed?

  18. HI, earlier this month I subscribed and paid my annual fee but now the stations i picked are gone and Pandora doesn’t recognize my password!
    The answer doesn’t seem to be in FAQ’s and there doesn’t seem to be a live person to speak with. HELP!!!!

  19. When is Pandora going to offer *unlimited* skips for their paid service? I think it’s ridiculous that I can’t pay to have unlimited skips, like Slacker offers. That’s the only thing preventing me from upgrading to Pandora One.

  22. I was just introduced to Pandora by a friend and am thrilled to have access to great music. I work in a nursing home and my residents like music from their era. I can now easily type in their music and viola it is there for them to listen to immediately. Your music has brought many a smile to their day. Thanks

  23. Sweet! You know what would be awesome… is if pandora sent me an email if an artist I like is coming to the town I’m in. Thanks to Pandora I like so many artists but forget their names and so never rarely make it to shows when they are in town.

  27. Just listening today and getting REALLY tired of hearing the same Obama get out the vote commercial.
    Do you have to step up advertising and let them play the same ad over and over again during election season?? It is getting really old!!!

  28. I used to love the Spa channel on Sirius, but once they merged with XM, it wisn’t as good. I should comment, that I hated the channel on XM. The programming was lousy. Anyway, your nature channel is better than anything! I would love to be able to get Pandora throughout my home like Sirius.

  29. Please forward to Product Manager:
    1. I’d like the ability to give a thumbs down to specific performers when they appear in my station. Currently, I can only vote on the specific song. For example, in my unique Country station I don’t want to ever hear a Brad Paisely song.
    2. I’d like you to consider audio books. For example, Woodward’s latest book on Obama, after each chapter you could play a commercial.

  30. your pandora apple app needs to be fixed, everytime my touches screen goes to sleep, the song skips, been waiting for an upgrade to fix this for the past 6 months. please fix it, very annoying

  34. This service is just awesome. I love all kinds of gospel music and am really enjoying creating my own station including everything from Selah to Gaither. You have really used technology for the great. I have found that I have some things still to learn on Pandora but good life requires constant learning. Even if I am a grandma!!!! Thanks again.

  37. Almost all of my Salem Oregon Realtors listen to Pandora on their phones once it was available for my G1 I told my other agents in the office about the free application that offers sweet relaxing tunes. :)

    I was about to buy a Pandora One gift sub for someone. But there is no delivery date option.
    It would be cool if I could have it delivered to someone’s email on a specific date. birthdays/holidays

    Have tried 3 times now and have filled out all of the info :(
