Ever considered that you got outside US (Austin?) readers of your blog? You better start posting something interesting, or I'll unsubscribe fast enough!

Hi Jokum, We're looking for ways to meetup with listeners from all over the country. Austin is just one stop. When we launch Pandora outside the US (as you know Pandora is only available in the US today) we'll surely do the same abroad. Hang in there! Tom CTO @ Pandora

jokum, i'm just a fan but i somehow feel obliged to mention to you that there is actually protocol for blog posting. it's just manners and common decency...like you'd be expected to exhibit if you were standing in front of a person, only it's in writing. you should try it.

Why aren't you stopping down here in Florida? Is it because of the silicone infested nude beaches or the hurricanes?

Is the Coachella festival in Palm Springs, CA too big for Pandora? Went there once and loved it!

Hi, I like what you're doing, think it's a great concept. I'm just wondering if you have a way to submit questions or comments. I didn't see any email address or contact info. Sorry to go OT and ask this here, but I was having trouble playing the music and wondering if it's because I use a dial up connection--it stops and starts about every five seconds. I've had this issue with other site depending on how the music is played/streamed or whatever. Anyway, this is interesting. Hopefully I'll have my own music available before you tour the northeast. I guess Austin is where it's at right now though, for obvious reasons.

Hi Michael, Yeah, the problem is dialup. Pandora is a broadband only application. Sadly we just don't have enought bandwidth over dialup to deliver a high quality audio stream. Tom

Just returned from Austin myself after playing for a convention. What an awesome music city!I have a 2 hour radio program everynight in San Angelo. Are you aware of the gigantic music data catalog the great state of Texas puts out every year?? It is sponsored by the govenor's office right there in Austin! Make sure you visit Whole Foods at 6th and LaMar! Would love if you could include Cynthia Jordan in your playlists. Have fun.

I am a teacher, and like to play some background music for my classes. I have found, however, that if the music has lyrics, some will be distracted, and try to sing along with the artist. I was wondering if you could have an "artist" I could click on that would give me only instrumentals. It could be any kind- oldies, contemporary rock, even classical. Just something they would listen to, but be less tempted to sing to. thanks for reviewing my comment. LOVE PANDORA, and the genome concept. -bob loveless

I am a music enthusiast in the Austin area. A great radio station that plays the best local talent music is KNBT out of New Branfels, Texas. Give it try if you want to tap into the Texas music scene. MBM>

Love what you've done with this site! Pandora is great! If you've never heard of a guy named Rodney Branigan... well look him up... it will be well worth your time. He's from Amarillo, Texas, and this guy's phenomenal! He plays all over the country with his wife and dog "Asta". Try brokenguitars.com

First of all, let me commend you for what is the best internet radio on the net. I read all about your tour of the U.S. and I feel a little disappointed that you didn't take the time to stop by some of the legendary places for country music in Texas(Greene Hall, Billy Bob's, Luckenbauch). I know you probably think that Texas country music is listened to by the old folks, but the college kids gobble up Texas country music every chance they get. Also, you didn't mention anything about hispanic music in San Antonio which is now 65% hispanic and growing. Now, I'm not hispanic, but I do like the music. I just love music period and my main reason for the post was to ask about how I could have a station with just TEXAS country music? could someone email me with a suggestion.

Hello to all and Happy New Year from San Antonio, Texas! This place, Pandora, is the greatest since Napster became unavailable for free. I am enjoying the heck out Pandora! Last night at a party I talked to an old friend with whom I used to play in a band. We are both in our seventies now and playing the gigs is just a fond memory. But after our radio performances he and I would go to the record room where thousands of 45 rpm records were kept by all artists of the time and we would be like two kids in a candy shop listening to our favorites, mostly guitar since that's the instrument of choice for both of us. Django was the one who amazed us with his imposible agilty and inspirational engenuity on guitar. Clay, that's the one, will be starting to listen to Pandora today as he was excited to know the link to this dynamite place. I ramble on a lot so sorry for that but again, Happy New Year to all! Eddie

I love the music I am able to listen to while I am online playing games like mahjong solitaire, bejeweled, and adventure quest. It relaxes me soothes me and encourages me. I am paying on a computer on layaway right now and I hope to have it paid off soon. I plan to hook up to the internet, join some chat rooms, start writing a book and continue to play all the games I can find.

I am in charge of a slideshow that will be played in our family reunion. It may be the last family reunion with both of my grandparents. I thought it would be neat incorpating nothing but music from their times which is 1940's through 1975's. Can anyone give me names of really romantic songs when they were dating in 1938-1940's????
